[PHOTOSHOP CS4] Black screen replaces image

Hello,

I have been using the CS4 suite on my PC equipped with Vista 32-bit for some time now. All the software works very well, including Premiere, which I use often. However, whenever I open a file in Photoshop or create a new document, a black image of the same format opens instead (screenshot: https://imageshack.com/). The number in the image comes from the Fraps counter, which interprets the image as a video.
It is not possible to make any visible modifications to this "image," but if I open a photo (which will then appear in this form) and use a tool blindly on it, then save, the modifications appear in the saved image and are visible in other programs. So the problem is likely a display issue, but I don't see how to fix it. I believe my graphics card is functioning normally since there are no issues in other applications or in my games.
Thank you for helping me if you have any leads!!

My configuration:
Windows Vista Home Premium
Intel Core 2 Duo CPU T7100 1.80 GHz
2 GB of RAM
Mobility Radeon X2300 HD graphics card
Configuration: Windows Vista Firefox 3.0.10

I finally found in Photoshop to go to Edit > Preferences > Performance and disable the OpenGL drawing option.

It's not working for me... should I restart the computer (I've already restarted Photoshop)?
