Hello,
On a client machine, when printing from any application to the PDFCreator printer, I have a queue of 162 items.
These items cannot be deleted, as they automatically reappear; in fact, they are located in C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Local Settings\Temp\PDFCreator
These files all have a *.tmp extension
I uninstalled the program and tried to delete these files but it's impossible
I set a different target in the PDFCreator options to C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Local Settings\Temp\PDFCreator2
That doesn’t improve anything because as I continue to create PDFs, my list keeps growing
I used CCleaner but without results
Do you have any idea on how to delete these temporary files or is there an option to check or uncheck?
Thank you

Another tip -
go to:
--Control Panel
---Hardware and Sound
------Printers
-----------right-click on the "PDF Creator" printer and select "cancel print jobs" (or something like that, I don't remember exactly)
For my part, I still had 4 GB of memory used by this thing! (even though I had removed the PDF creator program from my computer and everything).

hello
by examining their content, is it not possible to determine what task produces them?
what is the mistake in wanting to delete them?
to delete them, stop the spooler, delete them, and restart it
try using the command line:
/ClearCache
Clears all PDFCreator temporary files. This is useful if PDFCreator will not start because of a corrupt temp file.
Example: pdfcreator.exe /ClearCache

I had the same problem. I solved it as follows.
C then Documents and Settings then Administrator (I'm in Italy) then Local Settings then Temp then PDFCreator.
Once there, I found the 5 or 6 documents in the queue, but I couldn't delete them. I then moved this PDFCreator folder to the Desktop, then I permanently deleted it. I reinstalled PDFCreator that I had uninstalled beforehand, and everything works!

Since Windows Explorer tells me that items are in use or that the disk is full, even though PDFCreator is uninstalled.
Even when stopping the spooler?
net stop spooler
<delete the files>
net start spooler
How do you execute the "/ClearCache" since it is not recognized as a command in a command prompt window?
Go to the folder that contains the executable, C:\Program files\...

I don't know what produces them.
I have no errors when I delete it from PDFCreator, but if I delete them from Windows Explorer, it tells me that the items are in use or that the disk is full, even though PDFCreator is uninstalled.
However, I will attempt to do what you suggested using the command line.

Last info, when I still try to create the PDF, the message below appears: (see link)

After performing the manipulations, it doesn't change anything about my problem.
Do you have any other ideas?
Thank you.

Thank you.
I finally solved the problem; I changed the path to the temporary files directory.
By default, the target is: C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\Local Settings\Temp\PDFCreator
I set it to C:\Temp\PDFCreator and everything is back to normal.
Thank you

Hello,
I have the same problem. How did you change the path to the temporary files directory?
Thank you for your response.

For those who work in dual boot with Linux (Ubuntu), here is the definitive solution to this problem.
The issue lies in the status of Windows folders, which cannot be modified by PDFCreator, as they are "read-only". Since that damn *%&@! Windows sometimes stubbornly refuses to change these statuses, even if we own the folder, we can, however, access it with Linux. To do this, we can reach the hard drive from Linux, even in non-installed trial version, we copy the problematic folders (the new version has the same name with "(copy)", we delete the old folder, and we rename the new folder by removing "(copy)" from its name.
After that, everything works normally.
It's simple, it's beautiful, it's brutal, it's effective.
Be careful though, Linux is so powerful that you can destroy a Windows hard drive with a single reckless maneuver.
