Hello,
When I search for viamichelin on Google, the suggested address is:
https://www.viamichelin.fr/
but it doesn't work
however, if I add a hyphen between via and michelin like this:
http://www.via-michelin.fr/viamichelin/fra/tpl/hme/MaHomePage.htm
the page opens.
I tried with IE6 or Firefox 3 and the result is the same
I tried from another computer with Internet Explorer and it works there. I don't understand what's happening.
thank you for your help

Addition:
I tested it with another PC on my modem, it works,
I tested by opening the link from the AMD Deadlink software (on the PC where it doesn't work), the page opens normally,
Actually, it's not that it doesn't open, but it takes an incredible amount of time (10 to 15 minutes).

Hello,
here is my problem, I hope someone will have a brilliant idea, because I am stuck in front of this thing:
Some time ago, when trying to search on viamichelin, it refused to open (at least I thought so because finally, after waiting nearly 15 minutes, it eventually opened).
Here is the address that Google suggests first: https://www.viamichelin.fr/
in the status bar, it shows "waiting for rc.production.orange.fr..."
I then tried adding a hyphen between via and michelin like this:
http://www.via-michelin.fr/viamichelin/fra/tpl/hme/MaHomePage.htm
and there, curiously, it displayed immediately.
The problem occurred on Firefox 3.0.10 or on IE 6 indifferently.
Driven by curiosity since it only happened on my PC (running W XP SP2), I then posted the problem on a forum where I received quite a few tips until this one: type "Start, Run, firefox -p"
And there, it worked again. But all of a sudden, I was flooded with ads on Firefox. I therefore assumed that this command corresponded to a lifting of protection.
For maintenance reasons, I had to restore to a date prior to this fix and the problem came back.
Questions:
what does "firefox -p" do specifically?
if the problem also exists on IE, does that mean it doesn't come from the browser?
what could be the cause of this problem and how can it be remedied?
I should mention that I have since upgraded to Firefox 3.0.11
Thank you
