Hello,
I would like to know if there is a virtual credit card or something similar with Crédit Agricole.
Is this service chargeable at this bank? Do you need to activate this service with your bank?
Thank you for your answers,
Sarah

Hello,
There is no e-blue card at Crédit Agricole. And apparently, this is not on the agenda for this bank.
Having had my card hacked twice online, the only downside I see is having to memorize a new code each time.
Indeed, what customers often don’t realize is that transactions are guaranteed and the bank must reimburse you if you were not the one who initiated the transaction.
The procedure is quite simple:
- File a complaint with the gendarmerie or the police (you sometimes have to insist because they know they won’t catch the thief and it lowers their statistics)
- Take the complaint to the bank and write a sworn letter stating that you did not authorize the purchase made "I, the undersigned xxx, affirm that I did not make any internet purchase with my card on this date at this store for this amount"
The reimbursement is fairly quick (for me 8 to 10 days) and a new card is automatically issued to you.
The banker acts a bit "grumpy", but he has no choice; the law protects us for any purchase where there is no signature or physical presence.
Moreover, the bank is insured by the central card organization and unfortunately, it’s the seller who pays because a percentage of transactions is systematically deducted.
If you really fear making purchases directly with your card, it is always possible to go through an intermediary like PayPal, which is perfectly protected and guaranteed.

Have a great day.
Basically, it's not a big deal if you get hacked since they sell insurance to get reimbursed. Except that to be reimbursed in full (including the issuance of a new card and possibly blocking the old one), you need a more expensive insurance!
And losing half a day to file a complaint, writing letters, making phone calls... that also costs time and money.
In short, this might be the point that makes me leave CA for one of the six banks offering e-CBs.
