Freebox black and white image

Hello,
For two days now, I've been having an image problem with the HD box of the Freebox. Everything is in black and white.
I’ve unplugged and replugged the Freebox several times, rebooted the HD box, changed the image configuration (auto, 4/3, 16/9), and swapped the freeplugs as advised by Free support. No results.

I also connected the HD box to AV2 on the TV (it was previously on AV1), still nothing.
I contacted Free via email and chat (if you want to waste time, go ahead!). They had me plug the HD and ADSL boxes directly into the wall sockets (without a power strip), and still nothing.

I don't know what to do anymore!

Your TV is a black and white TV. You need to buy a color TV... ;)
No, but otherwise, isn't there a setting like PAL/SECAM/NTSC on the HD box?

It might be because your TV is set to "Secam" or something else

Try changing your TV's configuration from your remote control (PAL, SECAM, Dual...) I hope you know what I'm talking about ^^

And I mean your TV's remote control, not the Free one, I don't know exactly which button
but it's the buttons at the bottom of the TV, it's one of the buttons next to the Teletext button......

First of all, thank you for your responses!
I went searching for the manual of my old Thomson CRT television, I dusted it off and I tried to switch from PAL to SECAM to NTSC (BG, I, DKK, LL which are the new standards apparently?) but nothing worked...
Do you have any other good ideas?? :)

Hi,

do you see the yellow rectangular button with an arrow on it, below the numbers on the left (of course on your Freebox remote)?
Go ahead and press it, and when the window (Display Settings) opens, check if the slider next to color is in the middle. If it’s not, just move it to the middle.

Take a look at the link; it shows you what you need to do. If the problem isn’t there, come back to me ^^

Thank you for this tip, I tried yesterday but believe it or not everything was back to normal this morning ...
I’m not really sure what to attribute this miracle to since I tinkered with quite a few things: I reconnected the SCART cable of the HD box to AV1, I straightened one of the pins on the SCART, and I changed my Freebox profile to "Serenity" (instead of standard) yesterday ...
I wonder if there isn’t a bit of witchcraft involved in this!!!
In any case, thanks for your advice, it gave me hope!!
