Synaptics touchpad enhancements issue

Hello, same problem as everyone, the vertical scrolling works from time to time.
Has anyone found the solution?

this problem appears all the time, sometimes I manage to solve it by going to the mouse in the control panel, then the Synaptics tab, and I check two boxes, one for vertical and the other for horizontal
today this tab does not appear anymore.

Indeed, the manipulation has to be done several times a day, because I've noticed that the synaptic ceases to work as soon as we open MSN, so it's enough to reconnect it and when MSN disconnects, then when we reconnect it, the synaptic is removed!!!

I had the same thing
I removed the battery and pressed the power button for a few seconds
I put the battery back in and then it worked again
removing it resets the PC.
