Synaptics touchpad enhancements issue

How can I solve this problem?
Here is the error message I occasionally receive:
Synaptics TouchPad Enhancements has encountered a problem and needs to close. We apologize for the inconvenience caused.

Hello,
I had the same issue, I restarted the Synaptics Touchpad Enhancements application by double-clicking on the file "SynTPEnh" located at the following address: C:\Program Files\Synaptics\SynTP
Since then, scrolling works like before.
Hopefully it will work for you too,

I'm experiencing the same issue as you, however, I detected where it comes from (but I don't know how to solve this recurring problem).
Indeed, I noticed that the message indicating that the Synaptics Touchpad has stopped functioning appears as soon as I open Windows Live Messenger.

Indeed, the manipulation has to be done several times a day, because I've noticed that the synaptic ceases to work as soon as we open MSN, so it's enough to reconnect it and when MSN disconnects, then when we reconnect it, the synaptic is removed!!!

I had the same thing  I removed the battery and pressed the power button for a few seconds  I put the battery back in and then it worked again  removing it resets the PC.

Yes, that's it. I don't know why, but my Dell does the same. You just need to turn off the computer, remove the battery, start it up, and it works again.
