Hello,
I recently purchased Dawn of War 2, installed it on my computer (Windows XP) along with Steam (which it did automatically). So far, no problems, but when I try to launch the game… BAM, it cancels itself!!!
Let me explain: when I click on "play Dawn of War," (what it suggests when I insert my CD into the computer), a window opens telling me "preparing to launch Dawn of War 2..." and a "cancel" button is also in this window... The game presses cancel by itself: I can clearly see it, the button is pressed as if I was clicking on it myself…
Has anyone else had this problem? Or does anyone know how to fix it?

This game must be activated on Steam via the internet or you need to find a crack.
Like for Red Alert 3, Half-Life 2, and others. If you don't have internet, you won't be able to play without a crack. -

Up, after an update for COD 6 Modern Warfare 2, it behaves exactly the same way, the game automatically presses the cancel button, before the update (5 hours ago) I was playing normally in multiplayer.
The problem occurs both in solo and multiplayer.
If anyone has a solution.

I have done everything, I installed the game, all the different executable files, entered the CD key, created a Games for Windows account, rebooted the PC, uninstalled and reinstalled, still the same problem: Dawn of War cancels at launch. I don't understand anything anymore. By going through the file C:\ProgramFiles\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\Common\DawnOfWar2 to launch the file dow2.exe, I get an error message:
"The application or DLL D:\valve\steam\SteamApps\common\Dawn of War 2\Util.dll is not a valid Windows image. Please check using your installation disk"
which has nothing to do with it. The other file DOW2.exe opens on a security catalog and therefore does not execute.
I admit that I am out of ideas now.
