Hello, I just received my R4 REVOLUTION NDSL/NDS card and micro SD, but I can't get it to work. As soon as I insert it after putting R4new_v_1.24_French on it, it displays on the top screen: "COULDN'T FIND_DS_MENU.DAT" and nothing on the bottom screen. I tried with Kernel 1.18 and I'm still getting the same message. Does anyone have THE solution please? I'm waiting for your response with IMPATIENCE Thank you

Hello,
There are a lot of proposed solutions... here are mine with 2 different R4s

I have an R4 SHDC and a 2 GB card.
I loaded the kernel 1.25 (see https://www.linfoxdomain.com/nintendo/ds/ ) and unzipped the files.
After formatting the SD card, copying all the uncompressed files and copying the games the console stayed stuck on loading.
I created a games directory where I copied them and since then it works!!!
Conclusion for me for this type of card is that the games should not be at the root but in a separate directory.

For the other one, it's a (simple) R4.
For this one, I took the kernel 1.18 French and there the 'loading' remained…..
So, for this one, I copied the games to the root and not in a directory and it works.

The correct procedure is first to format your micro card (in FAT)
Then you need to decompress the R4 file ...etc
Once decompressed, you copy the files onto your SD card
After that, you can put your games
OK ??

workstation right-click on the USB drive then format and choose FAT then install the kernel corresponding to your R4 model.

I formatted the card to FAT, my R4 is an R4DS2GO002 bought from Sunny Parade Company, which I do not recommend purchasing. I received a disk in English, a micro card, an adapter card, and a USB key, and then it was like "figure it out yourself!" Which kernel should I choose? Can you still help me?

That's it!!! THANK YOU!!!! I had to put the games directly on the card. It worked with Kernel 1.18. GREAT!!! When I get home from school, my daughter will be the happiest. THANK YOU again!!!

As for the games, once unzipped, I put them directly on the card, at the root, without creating a folder.

We're making progress, we're making progress...
There can be 2 solutions: either you copy a few games directly to your card and see if it works,
or you create a games folder on your card and put a few games in it, then you try.
If the first solution doesn't work, delete the games from your SD card before doing the second step.
