R4 Revolution Issue for DS Solved/Closed

Question

Hello,I just received an R4 for my 6-year-old son's DS, and I can't get it to work. I tried going to R4 for dummies, but I don’t understand anything. Also, I didn’t receive a CD with the R4. I'm not very good with computers.I’ve been told that this card is great, but right now it’s a nightmare.If someone could help me, that would be awesome, because my kid is bothering me and doesn’t understand why it’s not working.Thanks in advance!

Here is a copy/paste that I kept

Hello,

Below are the steps for installing the R4:

1- Insert the microSD into the USB stick
2- Connect the USB stick
3- Format the microSD (preferably in FAT)
4- Download this file (it's the latest version newer than the installation CD): http://www.r4ds.com/soft/20-en.htm (file to download: R4 French v1.14 kernel)
5- Unzip the contents of the file, select everything, and copy and paste the files (that you just unzipped) onto your microSD
6- (Additionally) create a games folder on your microSD
7- Put your games in this folder
Remove the microSD and insert it into your R4, connect your R4 to your DS and goooooo

PS: for the English version no problem, by placing the drivers above, the R4 will switch to French.

Don't panic too quickly
Did you really copy all the extracted files to your microSD card?
Then try version 1.14 of my post3 because it worked for several usernames on this forum, so I don't see why it wouldn't work for you.
