Hello,
I bought a TNT USB key Avertv Volar Black HD for my laptop.
I installed the installation CD, and the software installed correctly. My computer recognizes the key, but when I try to open the TV, the Avertv 6 program opens and tells me that the key is not ready.
Thank you for your help
Have a nice day
Best regards

    Hello,

For Windows 7 64-bit, you need to launch Aver TV in "Windows 7 compatibility mode." To do this, right-click on the program in the Start menu, Properties, Compatibility tab, select the Compatibility mode option, and then choose "Windows 7" (which is the 32-bit mode) in the combo box.

The latest driver on the AVerMedia website is 1.0.64.30.

    Hello,
I will receive this key tomorrow and will test it on my Vista system very soon.
Have you found an explanation for your problem?*

    Hello,
I bought three Avermedia USB keys A827 - A815 - A835 intended to work on two different computers equipped with XP. I used the A827 on both PCs for 2 years, excellent product, very sensitive tuner, perfect use. This one broke down and being pleased with the quality, I bought the A815 but that's when the series of problems began: the driver systematically crashed both PCs which, although running XP, have different configurations. After many exchanges with Avermedia, I decided to buy the A835 thinking the A815 was defective, and here we go again, exactly the same problems, both micros freezing. I gave up on Avermedia's customer service who advised me to change the motherboards and why not the PCs... My conclusion is that their driver supposed to be compatible with all Microsoft OS (XP, Vista, W7) is not actually so. The driver for the A827 was dedicated either to XP in 32 or 64 bits or to Vista, which is why it worked without issues. The all-in-one does not work for all OS. According to the reading of your messages, it seems that W7 is still the best off. Unfortunately, I have not found a solution to date, and it can only come from the manufacturer...

I mentioned earlier that this key worked perfectly for me on Vista 32 bits and W7 64 bits, and I confirm: I have never had any crashes either during viewing or recording (nearly 45 recordings since August) but I only use WMC, which is far superior in image quality.
For the sake of thoroughness, I also installed it on my third old laptop running XP SP3... and nothing was detected. I don't know if it's due to the driver from the Avermedia site or the USB 2 port of my old computer acquired through a PCMCIA card. Moreover, Avertv crashes.
I therefore confirm that this key does not seem to work on XP.
    Best regards.

    Hello :)

I tried to download the AP and the drivers you mentioned, Sivencl.
But unfortunately, the app redirects me to a site full of Chinese writing that is naturally incomprehensible... and worse, the version for the drivers is no longer available...

I don't know what to do anymore... does anyone have them? So that I can finally enjoy this damn key...

    Best regards, Gabouze

To those who have just bought it, you have 7 days to retract if you bought it in-store and 15 days if you purchased it online.
Just walk away from this drive, it seems like complete junk. Instead, opt for live streaming ; )

It's often the manufacturers or selling sites that make the reviews. Welcome to the corporate world ; )

me too, same problem on XP
no blue light, key recognized but the driver doesn't install correctly.
Latest app and driver downloaded from the manufacturer's site does not resolve the issue!
I think I'm going to return the product...

Well, I also bought it for my desktop PC running XP; everything installs and is recognized perfectly, drivers and programs, but when it comes to detection, nothing. I tried it on the laptop running Windows 7, the channels are found but it crashes at startup.

Hello, what is crashing at startup?
I use it on 2 laptops with W7 64 bits, I installed the drivers by going through device management and manually looking for the drivers downloaded for W7 64 bits Beta), and both WMC and avertv work perfectly.
The same goes for the computer with Vista..
    Best regards.

    Hello,

I have the same problem on W7, the key is recognized but the channel scan doesn't work; it doesn't detect anything with the provided antenna...

    Do you have an answer?

    Thank you.

Antenna problem not powerful enough. Move the antenna during the search. (This maneuver aims to get at least one channel to adjust the antenna).

I had the same problem, try uninstalling and reinstalling the software while connecting the antenna to your computer beforehand, it should work afterwards since the antenna will be installed^^

    Hello,
I have had this USB key since May 2010, and it was working fine until recently: the image is choppy/freezing on all channels, and this is constant. I haven't changed anything in the setup, I'm using the small antenna provided with the key: the signal seems correct ("quality: 100%" is often displayed under the antenna signal); could it be a problem with outdated drivers (I don't know much about it)
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello everyone :)

I'm posting a message to say that I managed to fix my problem (finally!!!!! ^^) and to explain a bit about what I did ^^

My dongle was not recognized and the provided program or even all the others didn’t give anything more :) No driver changed anything; it was a bummer :)

Then, out of desperation, I thought: "Hey, let's try something ;D"

I changed the provided USB cable and voilà! Magic, my dongle was detected, channels were received fine, and no more problems with it ^^

So for those who are having issues with this dongle ;) give it a try :) it's worth a shot ;)

There you go ;D I hope this helps a lot of people!! :)

Hello, I'm experiencing the same problem and I would like to know how to solve it because I can't even scan the channels as it says "device not ready" and the settings menu is incomplete.

      Hello,

I tried it on Vista and W7. It works on both sides, but the W7 Media Center is much better. Also,
to finish, I permanently installed it on Windows 7 by downloading the latest app and driver from the manufacturer's website, here:
      https://www.avermedia.com/fr/avertv/Support/Download.aspx?Type=APDriver&tab=APDriver&id=460

It works great, absolutely on W7 64 bits as well as on Vista 32 bits.
      Including in HD.

For the app on Vista as well as W7, take the beta 6.0.18.beta (otherwise, no sound in HD). For the driver, use 1.0.24.28 for W7 X64 or X86 depending on your setup or 1.0.24.26 for Vista X64 or X86.

Install the app and driver, then plug in the key: Windows searches for the drivers for a while, finds them, and then there are no problems. I don't remember if I rebooted between the two operations.

With the small antenna supplied, I only get a few channels by placing it very high. With the rooftop antenna, everything is perfect. With another small One for All antenna, I’m missing one channel (NRJ), and the others are almost all good (a few image dropouts).

For me, this key is really excellent, especially for this price!

      Best regards.

        Hello!

I also have this TV key.
It works perfectly under Windows 7 with the supplied software.
I set up Windows Media Center, and I have a problem: all the TNT channels that broadcast in HD were selected by the scan even though my screen is not HD, so on these channels in WMC they are choppy and the HD logo broadcast by the channel is in the image.

        So two questions:
        - why this difference during the scan?
        - How can I make WMC take the normal channels instead of the HD ones?

        Can someone help me?

        Thanks in advance,

        Benrom

      Hello,

I bought the same key as you after reading all the rather positive reviews. BUT for my part, the key does not work at all. No signal is detected, no blue light even though I installed the driver (1.0.64.28) and the software for W7.
During the scan, no channels... (plugged into the supplied antenna)

Does anyone have any idea? I searched online, and no one has had this kind of problem with this product.

      Thank you in advance.
