Problem: USB drive not recognized

Hi everyone!

I have a very, very big problem with my Lexar JumpDrive 128 MB USB stick: no computer recognizes it. When I plug it in, a message appears:
"USB device not recognized. One of the USB devices attached to this computer malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it."
The USB stick also does not light up anymore.

I really don’t know what to do anymore, I have my BTS in 4 months and I have all my files that I prepared over the past 2 years inside. Please help me. Thank you. Marion

My computer cannot open the Lexar 8GB USB drive. I was able to access it before, and I wanted to watch videos on my TV. When I tried to add one more, I'm having issues with file recognition. I don't have problems with other USB drives.

Thank you for your help. My operating system is Windows XP. No, I don't have any requests for driver installation.
I also checked in my computer, but the USB drive is not detected there!
Do you have any idea where this could be coming from? Do you have any solutions, please??? Thank you.

Hello,

what is your operating system?

when you have your error messages, do you have a request to install drivers?

what is annoying about what you indicate is that it seems to not want to work on "any computer".

give us more details about your problem.

See you!

Hello,

As mentioned above, what is your system XP or Win98?

You can get drivers for your key at this address:
http://www.lexar.com/drivers/index.html#jumpdrive

Sincerely, JD

Good evening,

I will try to uninstall everything related to USB in the Device Manager,

then I would restart so that it recognizes USB again in general.

After that, I will attempt to reconnect the USB stick and......

let me know if it works

PS: if it asks you to install something, you will provide it with the location: c:\windows\inf so it can look for the driver.

See you!

Also, remember to back up your files on another medium (Hard Drive, CD).

To avoid unpleasant surprises in the future.

Under Vista Ultimate, the USB key is not recognized, even though it works perfectly fine.
Thank you.

What to do??

The manual said "Requires Windows XP or better". So I installed Linux.
Windows detected that you did not have a keyboard. Press 'F9' to continue.

I have three Lexar USB drives from 4 to 16 GB, and all three connect and disconnect on my two PCs. Another scam thanks to laws made by crooks, for crooks.

Open a window of the workstation and try to access it by typing the access path in the address bar; you must know the letter usually assigned to your drive by the system
or you can also try to unfold the contextual menu of the small arrow in the address zone; maybe your removable disk is there.
