Hello,
we often talk about production environments and operational environments.
Could you clarify the difference between production and operations for me?
I think that the IT production environment consists of monitoring a system, while operations involve repairing the system. However, I'm not sure about this definition, thank you for sharing your knowledge on the subject.
Best regards

IT production encompasses all the methods and skills necessary to maintain an operational infrastructure, its purpose is to ensure that the infrastructure can support all operational activities.
Conversely, IT operations consist of leveraging and utilizing this hardware or software infrastructure—typically through applications—in order to meet the needs of end-users (such as creating email accounts, for example).
