quand je démarre l ordi. j'ai un écran noir (comme pour un démarrage en mode sans échec) et il me demande de choisir entre vista ou ubuntu et je suis obliger de déssendre mon curseur pour faire démarrer ubuntu sa va un moment quoi .....

Normalement dans la config du boot de Vista tu peut modifier l'ordre des apparitions, ou si t'es sous linux aussi normalement cherche un peut dans les options.
ton /boot/grub/menu.lst n'est pas complet, tape plutot: sudo gedit /boot/grub/menu.lst et copie completement ce que ca t'affiche et poste le ici je t'expliquerai ensuite comment choisir ton os par defaut
