Vuze/Azarus

Solved

Hello,

I have a problem with Vuze, I downloaded the latest version, but I'm not able to download at a proper speed, can you please help me.

Here is what Vuze shows me:

- In the "Tracker" column: Connection error (SocketException: Software caused connection abort: recv failed)

- When I run a NAT / firewall test (or NAT / Server Port):

Message that appears at the bottom right: Warning Binding server socket failed as no compatible addresses are available, please check your bind-to-IP settings.

After 20 seconds of waiting for all the ports I tested, it gives me this:

Testing port 6881 ...
NAT error - Connect attempt to **.***.**.***:6881 (your computer) timed out after 20 seconds. This means your port is probably closed.

- For a BT speed test upload, it tells me this:

requesting test...
Test failed: Test aborted: Scheduling of the test failed: No challenge returned from speed test scheduling service, NetworkAdminSpeedTestScheduledTestImpl::schedule::343,NetworkAdminSpeedTestScheduledTestImpl::start::161,SpeedTestPanel::runTest::372,SpeedTestPanel$3::runSupport::322,AEThread::run::74

- For the update search it can't finish, the green bar in the middle at the bottom doesn't complete which indicates that the update search is blocked (I think).

- At the moment, in exceptional cases I am downloading at an incoming speed of 8 KB/s, but it varies and I drop back to 300 B/s or even 0....

- Clicking on a random download file in the Vuze HD Network gives me this:
Downloading from: http://www.vuze.com/download/AJ3L7TODSHONIZJE52Z7DS3HU3W3YHXH.torrent?referal=cdp&&&&
Error: I/O Exception while initializing download of 'http://www.vuze.com/download/AJ3L7TODSHONIZJE52Z7DS3HU3W3YHXH.torrent?referal=cdp&title=Watchmen+-+Trailer+2+%28HD%29&azid=A6AJCDGAGXMMQGOUIR2CBRML5BRIGT3Z&azv=4.0.0.4&locale=en_US': java.net.SocketException: Software caused connection abort: recv failed

I'm using Windows Vista and I have an internet connection of 100.0 Mbit/s, my firewall and antivirus do not block Vuze (it's Avast, I have disabled the Windows one).

Hope to find someone to help me.
Have a nice day

Okay, thank you very much for your help; I'll check all this later. I'm not really in the mood for it tonight^^

Oh yes, also in my previous message I asked what is the point of connecting/signing up to Vuze if anyone knows, thanks to him for leaving a message ;-)

    Hello

You need to open the port used by Azureus in the NAT configuration of your router/modem...

Check the manufacturer's website, your ISP's site, or portforward.com for the method to open the port...

    Good luck!!

Thank you for replying so quickly!

I am with the internet service provider Free, but I can't find where they have hidden the ports >.<.

I also have another question, we can connect (and therefore need to register) to Vuze (interface at the top left), but what is the point of that?

Thank you for taking some of your time to help me.

At Free, you need to go through their site and your personal Free space to change your Freebox settings...

I looked at the two links you gave me, and I thank you for that, but I didn't find anything clear enough for my taste...

So if you or anyone else knows a tutorial (preferably) that's quite recent, because Free's website changes often and therefore the information isn't always where some help sites indicate.

Thank you for your help and have a nice evening ;-)

I searched on the Free website, you need to log in with your user account and check the assistance section in their FAQ.

I'm not with Free, so I can't push the search any further with them...

Hello, if you are with Free, you need to go here: https://subscribe.free.fr/login/

Then you log in with your phone number and the password that was sent to you by mail when you opened your line, go to the internet section and to router mode.

There you can configure the DHCP, port forwarding or range and MAC addressing.

I have the same message and yet everything has been working well for 5 years, following a Vuze update I have this message.
Does anyone know how to reset everything to zero????

      Thank you.

Hello, I'm using Vuze and I'm downloading a game and I'm at 82.1%, but the problem is that the download is stuck because I'm not receiving any more data and there are 3 of us stuck at 82.1%, so I would like to know what to do..
        Thank you in advance^^

        Hello,
the problem is that the torrent is only at 82%, as the person who had 100% of the file is no longer connected, so you won't be able to make progress, that's all. Either you look for another torrent, or you connect from time to time hoping that the one who has the 100% reconnects, or that someone comes to seed and help those who don't have the complete file, thus continuing the sharing chain.
        there you go.
