Hello,
I have been experiencing crashing issues for the past three or four years. It has never been a problem until now, but it's getting serious. No one has been able to enlighten me during this whole time.
My PC (Dell) used to crash from time to time, seemingly at random. Everything would shut down and the orange light on the power button would start blinking orange. When I tried to restart it, nothing happened, except for that light. I had to wait a few minutes, sometimes even a few hours, before it would work again for an indeterminate period (ranging from a few seconds to a few hours). It happened sporadically, and in three years, I have never been able to predict a single crash.
However, for the past few days, it's been really difficult to get it started. I leave it untouched for two to three days (since previously, waiting was enough to resolve the issue), and when I try to start it, it works for a bit and then crashes after two or three minutes. It's been several days since I've been able to do anything on my PC.
I have never been able to understand where the problem comes from (the connections are fine, the ambient temperature and hard drives as well). Right now, I am in a study block for my exams and I am unable to work in good conditions, as I have to use the family PC (which I am not familiar with, is slow, and is right in the middle of a noisy room).

Hello, I solved my problem: Dell GX520 PC, yellow LED is blinking on the front and it won't turn on.
The problem was a broken USB port on the front whose +5V wire was touching the ground, creating an overconsumption detected at startup, and the PC protects itself by not starting.
You just need to use a screwdriver or any other small tool to separate the 4 wires of the USB port and then place tape on the front to prevent plugging in another USB device into this permanently dead port.
Hoping this helps.
