Speed up a video with AVS Video Editor 4

Hello,

I’m testing AVS Video Editor 4. I can’t find a way to speed up or slow down a video sequence. This function exists in similar products (Pinnacle Studio, Sony Vegas, Adobe Premiere...). Nothing about it in the help or in tutorials...

Could someone help, or does this function not exist in this software (which would be unfortunate)?

Thanks in advance

Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 3.0.5

I have the answer: you need to right-click on the video, choose 'speed' & where it says '1' put a larger number to speed up or a smaller one to slow down ;)

    Hello,

I have the same problem as you, have you found a solution?
Otherwise, indeed, it's unfortunate that this feature doesn't exist in this software which seemed quite complete to me.
I look forward to your replies,

    Thank you

Have you found a solution to your problem with AVS Video Editor 4? I have the same issue and I’ve been at it for hours. I also have AVS Video Editor 6 and it’s the same. On the other hand, this function exists in AVS Editor 3. I don’t understand.

Hello, I currently have the same problem.. it's quite strange because a few years ago I also used AVS Video Editor to do small edits and on one of my videos I had sped up the tempo.. I don't remember anymore if at the time I had used something else or not for that.. but right now I haven't found anything to do that.

a workaround would be to retouch the video sequence with something else (Windows Movie Maker for example) to apply the speed-up effect and then import it back into AVS... it's a shame not to be able to handle this, it's really a pain in video effects :)

    Hi mycocoze.

Thank you very much for your response.

Right now I’ve dropped AVS VIDEO. I find that it doesn’t encode my videos very well (sometimes it’s fine and other times the quality is mediocre).

At the moment I’m using SONY VEGAS SRUDIO. It’s not bad. very good quality and it has all the functions I need. The only negative point: to create effects on titles (do everything manually. no automatic plugins are offered).

Now I’m going to try PINNACLE to see what it’s like.

Next I’d also like to try ADOBE PREMIERE.

Then ADOBE AFTER EFFECT (but that’s really very complicated!!!)
