Need For Speed Underground 2 windowed mode

Bonjour,
I have Need For Speed Underground 2 (yes, an old game but I love it) but my PC is really messed up and unfortunately, I'm not changing it this Christmas.
But the problem is that even at the lowest resolution and with all the effects at minimum, it lags a little whereas before I could play it smoothly without having to turn everything down.
I have all my drivers updated, so I would like to know

HOW TO RUN NFSU2 in Windows Windowed Mode?
Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 3.0.4

    The system doesn't work. The minimized window still launches in fullscreen!

      So try with the setup for the game launch settings which is normally in the game folder.

    Check that you are not infected or simply clean the inside of your computer.

        Well, I think it's a bit stupid to want to solve the problem this way, which moreover guarantees very little in terms of a satisfactory result, but still...
        Right-click on your launch icon, shortcut tab, run window minimized.
