Set the time on my Livebox. Solved

Question

Hello, I have a problem with my new Gigaset A585 Siemens cordless phone: No matter how I set the time, the time that ends up being displayed is exactly one hour less. The phone is connected to the Sagem Livebox. I assume that my problem comes from it. I went to the configuration of my LB by entering the password and login as Admin and Admin, but then: I don't see where I could set the time or the time zone to GMT +1, could someone help me? Thank you.

Here are the maneuvers provided to me by support to keep the time as you input it without it being modified by the information received via CLIP.  The Procedure: - Please press the Menu button on your handset - Settings - OK - Base - OK - Regardless of what appears on the screen, enter 9, 4, 7, 6, 2, 0, 0, 1 - "Eeprom" will appear on the screen - Enter the code 493254937232796 - OK - "Saved" will appear on the screen  Then, please set the time again so that it remains stable:  - Menu - Settings - OK - Date/Time - OK - Enter the date - OK - Enter the time - OK  Good evening. Hello, your Livebox has nothing to do with your time problem. You need to configure your phone in the basic settings menu for date, time, etc. Even if your phone is connected to the Livebox, it is independent. I have the same model and I did it like that. See you later.

Alas, as I mentioned in my previous message, I have reset my phone at least ten times in the date/time menu: it saves the time, and systematically, after a few hours, it ends up falling back by an hour.

Same problem... even after purchasing a new brand new PHILIPS CD440 phone!!! The time displayed on my phone is now 2 hours off... there must be a connection with the livebox.

Hello, I have exactly the same issue, I have changed my phone 4 times, today I have a Panasonic set 15,000 times, battery ok, and with a two-hour delay. I think that indeed, it comes from the Livebox but where????

I found the solution, so it does come from the LiveBox, here’s what to do:  Hello, This issue seems to be well-known and many LiveBox users have the same problem. I found this solution online and I tested it, it works perfectly! Here’s the trick: Setting the time on IP phones when there is a 2-hour offset for each incoming call. - Access the administration menu of the LB by typing 192.168.1.1 in the address bar of IE, then Enter - Enter the admin + admin credentials Then, leave it as is, then: - Copy the following line into the browser's address bar: javascript:mimic_button('navigator: 730..', 0) This displays a hidden page of the LB settings, to be handled with caution. A misconfiguration of certain elements can permanently disable the LB. - Click on "Date and Time" and enter the following settings for the time adjustment: - Time zone: GMT + 01:00 - Protocol: TOD - press the "clock set" button and force the time to + 02:00 - Click "Apply" and "OK" - Then "Apply" on the main page. Result: Local time = GMT + 03:00 Server time = GMT + 01:00 Now, the LB is set to the correct time and the phone stays accurate even with incoming calls. I repeat, handle with care... That's it, nothing more needs to be done: apparently France Télécom has fixed the problem: I had the same issue for months and my phone reset itself last week (the week of September 7 to 11, 2009).

Let's keep it simple. The problem lies solely with Wanadoo/Orange. The Livebox is not set correctly regarding time. Worse, the menu to do so is not accessible, and while some tricks work for a specific model and firmware, it’s not the case for others. So Wanadoo is able to update to prevent fixing issues on their box, yet at the same time, they seem incapable of resolving such a simple problem. It’s astonishing! I struggled for 2 hours with one box, resetting, updating, etc., only to realize it is an hour late (in summer, 2 hours late in winter) and it's a mess. Some phones used, although they can manually adjust their date/time, are automatically resynchronized with the Livebox as soon as we receive a call. So it may be that some phones have menus to adjust the time, but the root of the problem is the box that simply can't keep time. And given the number of people having this issue, and how long it's been going on (over a year). Hearing from customer service over the phone or in the store that they are unaware of the problem, that it must be our fault, that we can't simply set up a phone, in short, that they’re treating us like idiots, is mind-blowing!

Hello everyone, here's how to solve the time offset problem on the Gigaset C610A: The time gets unset with each incoming call because Gigaset phones are configured to automatically take the time from the operator, who has not set it. It is possible to disable this automatic time setting on your C610A phone. We are sending you the procedure:  Enter the Menu  Whatever is on the screen, enter the code *#05# (this code will not appear on the screen). You will see a 9 displayed, and there, enter 4762001. You will see Eeprom displayed on the screen, when you see it, enter the following numbers: 32928 33034 32777 press OK, you will see Saved displayed on the screen. After this procedure, unplug the power cable from the base and plug it back in. Set the time and test by calling your landline, because the time resets each time you receive an external call.
