I met a man through the Badoo site. He is Portuguese and a trader. As of today, he is in Cotonou, Benin, to buy goods for his clients. According to his words, he has made good deals but doesn't have enough money to pay the full customs tax as well as his return ticket. He is with his 8-year-old daughter; I have seen them several times via webcam, and he seems honest to me, but I am still wary. He tells me that if he doesn't find money before the 10th, he will be thrown out of his hotel, and he can't find a way to settle what he owes. He hasn't asked me to send him money, but I still have questions. Can you help me?

Scenario seen hundreds of times with slight variations.. But in the end, you are asked to send money to a stranger (You absolutely do not know WHO they are despite their babble..).
They haven't asked you for money yet but suggest it in a 'subtle' way, thinking you will rush to their aid.... Soon, a real CASH request (via W.U..) will come..
The little girl trick: a classic designed to evoke pity and gain trust..
Are you absolutely sure that the Webcam was not of the pre-recorded kind?? And even if you saw a character 'live', it’s no guarantee of sincerity and truth..
My advice: don't send anything.. Is there really no one else in the world who can help them? No family, true friends, etc?
Extreme caution on this one.. No money, no sensitive documents, and of course no Webcam exposure!

Either the person is in Benin and it is 99.99% a romance scammer..
Or the individual is in Portugal (or in Europe..) and is just messing with you and trying to scam you..

The next day, we received a reply and a confirmation of the donation of the car following the death of their son from a heart disease. Two days later, the transport agency "Transmotors Express" contacted us to say that the car was on its way but was stuck at the airport in Benin and that we needed to pay 250 euros in passage fees via "Western Union." That day, we stopped everything because we knew that it was a scam!!
Since then, we have had no news.

Dear all, the real ACCOMPLICES of all these crooks are "good people" from Western Union, nothing less, yes!! They know these scams inside out and continue to hand over money to the scammer without asking for any form of identification and even charge a fee on the scam as seen in a report on M6.
FILE A COMPLAINT AGAINST THEM!! Because the one who withdraws the money should at least present an identification document + photocopy + fingerprint + as in a bank, they should have a video record; these measures are very simple to implement, but they don't do it! FILE A COMPLAINT AGAINST THEM for lack of serious controls! It will work; they will stop when they are pursued and convicted.

Hello, I also have a business with Lenoir Olivier and a Simon Vincent who was supposed to deliver a vehicle to me today. He wanted me to pay via Western Union. I went to the post office and they told me to be very careful, so I didn't do anything except dream of the good deal I was going to make. I sent an email to him saying everything was done (if I don't get a response and I don't see the delivery person, then it was a scam). PS BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THE MONEY YOU SEND.

I just had to pay the legalization fees for the donation certificate.
So I decided to give it a try and I sent €98 + €19 for shipping.
Then they told me I had to send another €150 because supposedly the dog was stuck at the Marseille border. So the address of my scammer is sylvie-ducie@hotmail.fr. And her husband's name is Koï Hyathinte.
So my advice is, it's better to buy a dog from a breeder. I have now found a beautiful little Argentinian dog and I paid the price, but at least I am sure to have her, etc...
