    Hello!
A little MORE information would be necessary... But just the association of the names 'tractors' and 'Benin' already indicates a strong probability of a scam... All that's missing is the colorful Western Union to form the Holy Trinity of the Kingdom of Scams..
In any case, as advised above, stop everything and provide additional information..
    BE CAREFUL!!!

Hello, yes I got taken in. I saw an ad for a puppy donation on Le Bon Coin. A lady in Africa was giving away her little dog because it couldn't stay in Africa anymore. Anyway, a transport company contacted me to say that the puppy was leaving from there and that I needed to pay 95 euros for the fees, which I did via Western Union. Then they called me on the same day to tell me that the dog was stuck at the airport because a vaccine was missing, so I had to send 107 euros, and I did that way too quickly and stupidly. Then I thought about it, but it was too late. They called me to say the dog was 4 hours away from me, and the delivery person had a vehicle problem, and I needed to send them 50 euros. At that point, I refused, but it was too late; they still called me to say that I would get my dog, but I know I won't get anything at all. So, there's the great mess, and it taught me a lesson.

Il m'est arrivé la même chose sauf que je n'ai pas versé d'argent, cela me paraissait bizarre. Bref, je vous prie de bien vouloir dénoncer ces arnaques à la gendarmerie de votre région afin que cela cesse. Merci par avance.

      Good evening

Yes, it's a scam, especially don't send any money, they will always ask you for more and you will
      never get the equipment!

It's too good to be true ..........

You can never get equipment at those prices!

Can you imagine the shipping costs!

Already in our country, you have to account for 500 to 600€ excluding tax for shipping

And no one gives anything away! Everyone sells except for a few bits and pieces among friends.

      But not equipment ...........

      Best regards

    Good evening Mr
Following our phone conversation, I am providing you with the complete details of my machine and its characteristics, as well as the reasons for my sale.
    Type: Micro tractor
    Brand: John Deere
    Model: 4115
    Estimated year: 2004
    Description
    CHARGEUR COCHET CH30
1 - My tractor has over 30 HP
    2 - Rear lift: yes
3 - A fork at the front: yes
4 - The machine is in very good working condition
and like new as I bought it in Germany
on promotion 8 months ago at a reduced price, which I brought back to France where I registered
the paperwork in my name, hence I am the owner.
Since I am an entrepreneur and currently working there, I planned to send it to TOGO through a transport company that quoted me a very high price. So I decided to sell it for €4000, whereas my promotional purchase price in Germany was €7200.
5 - For your acquisition as soon as possible
    it's simple:
You just need to give me your delivery address, first name, last name, and phone number. I will take care of forwarding that to the transporter who will contact you to arrange a delivery date to your provided address. I inform you that the delivery costs are already covered before my departure, and after your purchase, you will not have any additional costs to anticipate for this equipment.
6 - Payment will be in cash to the transporter upon delivery at your delivery address.

Thank you for getting back to me and providing the delivery address so I can forward it to the transporter who will contact you to set a delivery date.

NB: I tried to respond to you from my email but the messages don’t go through. So I used my cousin's account and I would like you to respond directly to this email.

scam sure, I gave 4000 euros to a crook who was selling a John Deere in Benin to have it repatriated to France, he was selling it to me for 15000 euros, a so-called guy who had set up a project over there and had made it happen, I paid for the transport by boat via Marseille, with a port invoice in support. They are very good, fake papers, non-pledged papers, seller's passport, all fake. He put me under a spell. I filed a complaint, but nothing to do.
Do not buy abroad, in France yes but go and see the engine yourself.

Hello, I also found an ad on agricole.com, Miss Virginie Danois who was giving away her John Deere 6510 tractor for free to anyone who would pay the transportation costs of 1850 euros since it is in
a shipping company in Benin. They sent me an email with a copy of the registration certificate, a copy of the identity card,
a photo of the tractor (in the background there are poplars and oaks), it's strange, it looks like the vegetation
from our place. She provided her address: rue des pins in Rennes (35) which does not exist and a phone number
that doesn't exist either, but the craziest part is that they left a message yesterday saying that it was:
Chronopost Africa that they have a package in my name and that we need to settle the formalities (make a transfer
via Western Union of 1850 euros) and 5 days later I would receive my package (after all, it could be a miniature tractor)
BEWARE OF ALL OFFERS FOR VEHICLES: TRACTOR, CAR, CAMPER, FREE, IT'S A SCAM.
Good luck to everyone and have a great end of the year.

The front loader is new and of very high quality
    4-wheel drive

seat with suspension and height adjustment
Battery has been changed because it is no longer new but it still works

I am dealing with a case that is obviously a scam. The photos of the 7710 tractor were taken on a farm that is definitely not in Africa.
So I don't know if it's the same one that has been modified.
The question I'm asking myself is, who should I report these fraudulent ads to?

    Hello,

Those working in the agricultural sector are the new targets of scammers. Be wary of enticing offers regarding tractors and other agricultural equipment.

Also see this discussion that reveals a bit about what’s going on http://www.commentcamarche.net/forum/affich 5089477 new scam from England

A tractor that you can't see because it's located in Spain with a private seller, marketed by a "company in England," etc... etc... The mcm-exports site is closed!!

    Great caution!!!

    Best regards

specially don't buy if you have given money, it is lost, they get paid by Western Union cash that is transferred. They are at the forefront of advanced scams, I have fallen victim to it, I who thought they were a developing country, they are at the forefront of progress in computing and fake documents.

I also saw this enticing ad in the Sud-Ouest newspaper!!
I got in touch with the famous lelievr25, the donor of this magnificent John Deere 7710. We exchanged a couple of emails, but I started to sense the scam. Supposedly, he couldn't call me, so it was up to me to do so, and the country code before the number was 00229, which is Benin. So I stopped everything out of fear of getting scammed. Unfortunately, I see that some have gone further; it's a shame.
FARMERS, YOU KNOW THE VALUE OF WORKING THE LAND AND ITS TOOLS, SO: BE CAREFUL WITH OFFERS THAT SEEM TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE.

Yes, it's a scam. I contacted them and realized it was a scam because the photos didn't match, and I searched for these photos on agricultural websites in the USA, and they were from American or Canadian dealers. Be careful with the ads published on "annonce agricole.com".

Hello Chris, in response to your message regarding your friend, I can only advise him to seek an international lawyer after filing a complaint. I stopped everything before making the transfer and the guy from Benin called me one evening. I scolded him, telling him that I knew his scam, that I had been on blogs about "tractor scams in Benin". Of course, he denied it. I inquired at the fraud inspection office, but they can't do anything since it's in Benin, and they just told me to get an international lawyer. We'll have to see the amount of fees to determine if it's worthwhile, but I think all the affected people should unite and hire a single lawyer to represent them.
I hope I have answered your questions, and I wish you good luck.

Hello sir, I too have fallen victim to this kind of scam. I bought a John Deere in Togo, a 5820 from 2007 with 100 hours on it. There were photos, and we went through a shipping company... the classic trick. I paid for the shipping, the tractor, and supposedly some customs fees, only to realize it was a scam. I am a young farmer and I was the perfect target. I lost 7,300 euros. If you want to hire a lawyer, I am by your side.

Bonsoir, I had posted an ad because I was looking for a used tractor to work in the woods. Shortly after, I received an email from a man who supposedly calls himself Ftatin Jerry and who lives in Benin, specifically in Cotonou. He was donating his tractor that he had won in a competition in 2005. This tractor is a John Deere 7920 red, whereas after reflection, John Deere is usually yellow, but I told myself that maybe he had released a new model. I contacted this famous Flatin online; at first, he asked me to pay the shipping costs, which amounted to 150 euros, because the tractor was in England with a delivery person. Being naturally suspicious, I suggested paying half (75 euros) and giving the other half to the driver when the tractor arrived in front of my house, which he accepted after very long negotiations. The next day, he called me and announced that the driver had been stopped by customs in Lille, France, and that I needed to pay an additional 300 euros if I wanted to get the tractor, which I naturally refused. Half was okay, but no more. He agreed to cover 150 euros supposedly out of his pocket, but I had to pay the other 150 euros always by postal money order. Now I just returned from New Year's Eve and I tell myself that I will call this man, and there is no answer. So I called the driver in England who told me that he did get stopped by customs in Lille but that he is with his family for the New Year, but Flatin has not received the last money order of 150 euros, whereas I myself have checked with Western Union in Brussels who confirmed to me that the money order had indeed been sent to Cotonou. In short, it's been since December 30th that I've been waiting for this famous tractor. Furthermore, he gave me his phone number and the driver’s, but if I do not have the goods by Saturday noon, I will take my measures, but he will hear from me. I have very high connections in the government. I wanted to start my own business, and this is quite the start.

While searching for a mini-tractor, I compared photos and ads.... We can cross-reference.... of course, it’s a scam.... who has information about the company virtus.ltd? in London.... a photo of the John Deere mini-tractors looks strangely similar to an identical photo from ANNAGRI... John Deere 4115 24hp 2005... whose seller is also selling a kubota 1502 M on MARCHE.fr... and what to think about the donation of my New-Holland tractor, by Agathe, on VIVASTREET, whose photo IS THE SAME as the New-Holland from "claudedubois98@yahoo.fr"? Come on, send me SH.... all these crooks! what is the police doing? good scam!

Hi, we too, especially my husband, almost fell for the same issue regarding the lawn tractor. Yes, because the people selling them say they've moved to Benin in Africa because of work. Then we get a problem regarding a cesarean. Complete nonsense. And suddenly, when you ask them why the ad is posted in the South and the delivery is from Paris, and then the mandate we absolutely have to do must be addressed to another person in Benin, it's not normal. Because when you receive an email from them, there's one name, but for the mandate, it's another, and besides, with the Western Union mandate, it's better to be wary. On top of that, the person dares to tell me that they trusted me; isn't it rather me? I’m the buyer, can they guarantee the delivery of the product? No? For example, they also say they have cousins or brothers in Toulouse, you offer to deliver the product to their family so we can see it. No, because it’s not possible, the delivery person can’t, what nonsense. But anyway, to tell you the most they talk about is the mandate; that's all that comes out of their mouths. And it all happens surprisingly when the weekend arrives to rush to make this mandate. But beware, even if the delivery person comes to your place maybe with the product, they will find all means for you to give the mandate code before showing you the product. Total nonsense. DO NOT DO ANYTHING WHEN IT COMES TO PAYING BY MANDATE because it’s a scam.

      Hello.
Very likely a scam when sending money to a stranger.. It's like giving cash in an envelope!
The W.U system is there to make transfers to people you know (family, friends...) quickly in case of emergency.. Also to send funds to family when there's no other way to do it (migrant workers..).
      Any commercial transaction is prohibited!
A scammer can withdraw funds WITHOUT having the 'code' (MTCN)... Corruption among some W.U agents, no identity checks, 'secret question' omitted etc......
So be careful! Using W.U without precautions can hurt your wallet..
      Beware!!

I was looking for a lawn tractor where the girl was in Benin but the tractor was in Brest. She needed money to take care of her son and was selling it for €700. I negotiated down to €500 and then to €300, and then I noticed the scam, so I dropped it. I had to pay in Benin.
    Here's her email:

The payment of €300 by a Western Union money transfer and at the same time you send me your details, meaning your full name, complete address, and your phone number so that once I have the money, I can go to the transport agency to register the tractor in your name, and once that’s done, you will be in contact with the transport agency to agree on a time for delivery.

Here is the payment address she provided me:

    Name: TCHANHOUN
    First Names: Sédjro Genesse Rostan
    Postal Code: 00229
    City: Cotonou
    Country: Benin
