Reinstall the Recycle Bin.
Of course you will need to go into the registry via the Regedit editor:
Start/Run command and type regedit.
Then, of course, make a backup of your registry via Registry/Export Registry.
When that's done (it can be handy, especially if you’re not of sound mind), go to the folder:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace
Very simple, isn’t it!
In the left pane, right-click the NameSpace key, then New/Key.
Now type correctly:
{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}
Note that this is hexadecimal (an invention of computer scientists to baffle people, a base-16 calculation from 0…9 A,B,C,D,E,F or F = 15), so don’t type a capital O, but zeros.
Press Enter.
Switch to the right pane, right-click on "Default", click Modify.
In the dialog box type: Recycle Bin or Trash or "the travesty bin" if you want, that is the name that will appear under the Recycle Bin.
Click OK. -

I got the same thing, you have to download the Vista Recycle Bin from sites that offer the download like this one: https://www.zdnet.fr/telecharger/logiciel/gadget-corbeille-vista-39266117s.htm and normally the Recycle Bin appears in the gadget, and if everything works you should find the documents that were in your old Recycle Bin, if you need anything else feel free to ask ;)

Well, actually you’re not supposed to press F5, just reboot the machine and the Recycle Bin will come back. Bye

Hi there!
You might have left "caps lock" on by accident, Laura; in that case I’d invite you to reread your messages before sending them.
Capital letters mean SHOUTING, which isn’t really necessary either...
I’ll note that at this time of night, brains are often a bit tired, so deciphering SMS is tiring (at least for me...), it doesn’t always make me want to read messages to the end.
I’m not sure how Vista handles it, but when you’re sure you want to delete a file, on Windows XP you press Shift to delete... that lets you delete a file without going through the Recycle Bin... That way, you save time... and maybe some disk space.
a+ ! -
what I did is that I installed the Vista Recycle Bin (gadgets) that's all as well go to Google and type Vista Recycle Bin and you’ll surely find it!

Hi, I have Windows Vista and my Recycle Bin has been removed from the desktop. I can’t find it, and inside there are documents to restore. If anyone can help, that would be cool.

As mentioned above, trying to recreate a Recycle Bin or downloading one doesn’t help. You just have to right-click on the desktop, then Personalize, and at the top left select Icons, and there you just check the Recycle Bin box and that’s it. That’s what I did and it takes 30 seconds.

For those who have emptied their Recycle Bin on Vista, if you wanted to wipe it, go to: Computer, then right-click on the main hard drive, then Properties and Clean the disk; that will empty the Recycle Bin ^^

Go to the right side of your screen, right-click, go to Personalize, then look in Tasks; it will say Change icons, and there will be several options. Click on Recycle Bin and that’s it.

If the Recycle Bin has disappeared from your desktop in Windows Vista, know that it is very simple to recover. Here, in a few clicks, is the method to recover the Recycle Bin on your Windows desktop. It can happen that the Recycle Bin disappears from your desktop in Windows Vista. Indeed, if you choose the option Delete from the Recycle Bin context menu, it will disappear from your desktop. Fortunately, it can be put back in place in a few clicks...
Right-click on the Desktop. In the context menu that appears, choose Personalize.
In the window that opens, click on the link Change desktop icons on the left-hand side.
In the Desktop Icon Settings window, check the Recycle Bin box.
Finally click Apply and then OK.
And there you have the Recycle Bin again on your Desktop :)
Note that if you want to avoid accidentally deleting the Recycle Bin, you can consult the tip to Remove the Delete option from the Recycle Bin. -
