Hello, some time ago I encountered problems with Word 2003, it kept crashing.
As a result, I bought and installed Office Home and Student version 2007.
The problem now is that the CVs and job applications typed and saved
in Word open in WordPad even though I haven’t done anything with the latter.
It’s been a week that this has been going on and I don’t know what to do anymore.
Thank you so much for your help.
PS my PC is equipped with pre-installed Vista Premium

right-click on one of these files -> open with -> choose the program -> word 2007 (don't forget to check: "always use this program" at the bottom)

Hello ;)
Right-click on your document >> Next to "Open with," click on "Choose another app" >> and select the program with which you want to open your document. -
Hello!
You go to explorer + tools + folder options + file types, you look for the DOC file that you will link with Word.

Hi
There are several ways to do it. For example:
On a Word document, right-click "open with," then choose "choose program" (even if you see Word). Then go select Word.exe in the hierarchy and check the box "always use this program to open this type of file."
Alternatively, in a folder, click on the "Tools" tab and choose "Folder Options," then the "File Types" tab. Then select the ".doc" extension, and next to "opens with," choose "change" and then select the appropriate program.
Ciao!
