    Hello Geniemaroc
try to perform a system restore to a date earlier than your problems

If you managed to access the window with "latest good config..." go back there and choose mode without failures, then the administrator account, and try posts 3 and 9 again.
    See you

If I re-enter the mode without failures, it still gives the same problem.

I have no more ideas, try posting in the virus/security forum to have your PC analyzed, there is surely something that’s blocking all of this.

      Hello justanumber,
No idea, with Firefox I get: 403 Forbidden and with IE7 I’m directly redirected to download, so I don’t know what it is.
      Catch you later

thank you for the reply ; )
well the link works fine for me, it’s a direct download -> an archive containing a reg file .
this fix actually restores the file associations. i think it’s still worth testing .mébon .
      i also have firefox 3

Right-click on one of the programs and choose Open with, then pick an easy-to-install program like VLC.
After uninstalling VLC; restart and the problem is solved.
    Reinstall your VLC.

Restart your PC and tap F8 right at the beginning near the PC brand logo (or F5 depending on the PC) in the window, select "last known good configuration" with the arrow keys, then press Enter.
    See you.
