Hello,
having tried to open a PDF file in Word, which was successful, I have since found that many of my Word files now open as PDFs and are unreadable. The files that open incorrectly have a large WORD logo on a sheet, whereas those that open correctly have a smaller WORD logo "on horseback" on a sheet (half sheet/half outside).
I must have made a manipulation that I can't revert properly.
thank you for the help ROBI
Configuration: Windows XP / Firefox 3.5.2

Right-click on the PDF file, "Open with," "Choose another app," select your PDF reading software, and make sure the "Always use this app to open .pdf files" box is checked.

Hi,
actually, it's not to open it in PDF but in WORD file. I right-click on my PDF file and then click on "Open with 'WORD'" and it opens but remains unreadable. -
You cannot read a PDF file in Word!!!
PDF files are readable with Adobe Reader
.doc files are readable with Word
If you want to edit a PDF file with Word, you need to copy the text using ctrl+c ctrl +v, then when you save it, you will choose the .pdf extension

Hi,
my problem is solved. I selected "open with," then "choose program," then Adobe Reader, and checked "always use this program" and clicked OK.
Now my files open without any readability issues.
Thank you, ROBI. -
