Hello,
actually it's a problem I've encountered before... with a game that I couldn't launch on my PSP and I went into the system to fiddle a bit (like enabling the no-umd function instead of disabling it)
Except that now it's the firmware 4.01 M33-2 that I can't install because it gives me "Game cannot start (80020148) ... I would like to know if someone knows how to work around the problem.
Thanks in advance

Hi! I have a problem too! I downloaded Naruto Ultimate Ninja Heroes 3 on my PSP version 5.50 GEN. The file is in .rar and when I put it in my PSP (ISO folder), I start the game and it says "impossible to start (80020148)".. What should I do..? Please help me :(
Turn on the PSP, once in the main menu, press SELECT to access the VSH menu.
In the line UMD ISO mode, set it to SONY NP 9660 (all of this using the arrow keys).
Once finished, press SELECT again.

Hi, I have the same problem
I try to launch my ISO and I get "game startup impossible (80020148)"
This isn't the first time this has happened to me and usually I can always find the problem, but I'm stuck this time :s
I'm on cf 5.00M33-4

I'm having a problem when I want to play a new game; it says game startup impossible (DADADADA). Can you help me, please?
* Turn off the PSP by pushing the Power button up for 6 seconds (or remove the battery from its slot, then reinsert it).
* Turn on the PSP while holding the R trigger to access Recovery Mode.
* A menu appears (Selection in red - Background in black).
* Choose "Advanced", then "Format flash1 and reset settings".
You cannot access the "Recovery" on the PSP without the CF... Or if you can, could you please tell me how?
Thank you
Thank you
Hello
you need to turn off your PSP completely and then turn it back on by holding down the R button to access the GEN recovery menu
go to "advanced" then to "advanced configuration"
and you need to set "plain modules in umd/iso" and the one just below it "execute boot.bin in umd/iso" to disabled mode then you need to exit the GEN recovery menu and you should normally be on the normal menu of your PSP
press select and set "umd iso mode" to either sony np9660 or m33 driver

And for Smackdown vs 2011, I have the 5.50 gen version and I'm getting the same type of error. What should I do? Thanks, I have a Slim and I've put the Sony machine on, I've formatted it once but nothing!
Salut, j'ai un problème avec Gran Turismo. Je suis en 5.50 Gen B et quand je veux lancer un jeu, ça met "démarrage impossible du jeu, erreur 80020148".

and when I'm in recovery I can't set the USB mode to Sony NP9660 since I can only set the option to disabled or enabled every time.
Nothing happens when I press "select" while I'm on the "XMB" :(
Let me explain a bit more in detail:
I was on 3.40 OEA ==> I downloaded the CF 3.52 with the 3.52 CREATOR ===> then I downloaded the firmware 4.01 M33-2 ===> I copied all the folders to my PC ===> I formatted my memory stick ===> I could get the 3.52 and the 3.52 CREATOR ===> and when I try to install the 4.01 M33-2 it says "Game cannot be started (80020148)
I hope these additional details will help find the solution to the problem.
Is it still on 3.40 OE-A?
That will help me understand.
when I downloaded the firmware 3.52 M33 RTU and 4.01 M33-2 ... I directed the copied files from the archives directly to the psp ... but now I can't update my psp to the firmware 4.01 with the M33-2
