How to return to the desktop in-game?

Hello,
Hi, I would like to go back to the desktop while I am in the middle of a game because when I press the Windows key it doesn't work... I'm running Vista^^ Thank you in advance^^
Configuration: Windows Vista Firefox 3.0.3

    What I do:
    CTRL + ALT + DELETE
    A bit drastic but there's nothing better :)
