Hello,

Can you tell me how to find out who the sender of a registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt is? I'm not at home, and the person responsible for taking care of my mail while I'm away informs me that a registered letter has arrived. The postal service refuses to tell me who the sender is. Is there any trick to find out the sender? Thank you.

Hello everyone,
You can find the answer here: to know the sender of a registered letter.
From a strictly legal point of view, you are considered to have received a registered letter as soon as it is first presented to your home.
Therefore, whether you accept it or refuse it at the post office makes no difference, since legally you have already received it.
As a stress-reduction measure, it is therefore certain that it is better to accept it to know exactly what it contains.

But I wasn't home the day the letter arrived since I had moved, and I only became aware of this registered letter a month later.

No matter if you were at home or not, it makes no difference, especially if it concerns your employer, as you are required to inform them in case of a change of residence (permanent, of course).

the law is the law, you should have changed your address in a timely manner "no one can benefit from their own wrongdoing" in short, you made a mistake, you have to own it...

It's not neglect; if I hadn't been away, I would have obviously taken the letter to the post myself.
