NETWORK CABLE - FREEBOX Solved

Question

Hello everyone,

I'm struggling with this Freebox. I've connected it to my PC using a 10m RJ45 cable. My PC doesn't recognize it, indicating that no cable is plugged in when it actually is. All the settings are correct; I'm on Windows XP and my network card is an NVIDIA NFORCE.
Can you help me solve this damned problem?

is this a straight cable??? if it's a crossover cable, it won't work... look closely just in case ;)

to directly connect 2 PCs, you normally need a crossover cable: http://allowin.com/v1/cablage.htm http://etienne.durup.free.fr/cablage/jecable2.htm  and ... Voila Voila!

He just wants to connect his PC to his Freebox via Ethernet....
So he needs a straight cable
Physically, I don't know the difference...
If you still have the packaging, it's marked on it...

If you know someone who has a straight cable, test it with that! You'll be targeted right away!

In general, the sheath of the twisted cable is marked CROSSED.

Put the two plugs side by side and check if the colors are in the same order or not  Same order = straight cable Different order = crossed cable  And for the Freebox, you need a straight cable.
