Mouse display issue in games Solved

Question

Hello,

I have a problem with my mouse: when I'm on the desktop, everything works fine, but as soon as I launch a game (Guild Wars, CSS) or an application like (Media Center), meaning programs that take up the full screen, my mouse doesn't show up but remains operational (the pointer is still active, I can select a menu... but it is invisible)

I hope you understand and know the answer to this problem

PS: I am on Vista and when I was on XP I didn't have this problem.

Hello, have you installed catalyst 8.04? If so, replace it with version 8.03. Can you tell me what graphics card you have?

Catalyst is the software that manages ATi graphics cards. So, you are not concerned because you have an Nvidia. After extensive research, I found this page that could help you resolve this issue.

actually I have the same problem, that is to say no mouse when I am in full screen, whether it's a game or even media center!

The issue started when I changed my graphics card, going from a GeForce 9800 to an ATI Radeon 4800. I have certainly looked in all the forums possible for a solution, and there has been nothing conclusive, or at least nothing that addressed my problem.

Of course, I've done everything that was possible and unimaginable... reinstalled the graphic drivers, enabled mouse tracking, set the mouse shape to "standard", really everything.

I think the solution is probably in some option of Catalyst, but I'm not very good with English, especially when it comes to technical terms. If someone has a valid solution to propose to me...

I'm running on W7.

Problem solved, it was the magnifying glass I was using to read better since my screen was far away!
