Portable DVD player battery

if your player is still under warranty, there shouldn't be any problem for the store where you bought it to change your battery. Mine was no longer under warranty. Otherwise, after searching all over town, Fnac sells standalone batteries at the customer service for about €50 (considering that the player costs €80, it's a bit disappointing, well...). I checked all the battery stores and no one sells them.

A guy explained to me that you should always recharge the battery when you're not using it (which nobody tells you when you buy it!). It's the lithium compounds that fail when you charge it after a period of non-use.

Actually, I have the same problem except that I have never used it!! Maybe it’s a fault with my battery... Since I haven’t used it, that’s surely the (or one of the) problem. Or maybe I don’t have all the accessories?! That is to say, I’m not very skilled in this area. I consulted the instruction booklet but found no information on the charger, and since I bought it used, I wonder if there is one.
