Hello
I have an optical mouse.
Right now, I'm not touching my mouse, but my pointer is moving around on its own on my screen.
I don’t understand what’s happening.
How can I stop this? It's getting ridiculous.
Thank you for your responses.
The brand of my mouse is: THESYS

Well, I have two optical mice, and sometimes my cursor shakes.
It's because one of my two mice is not properly placed on the desk, which makes the pointer tremble...

I have the problem of the mouse with the pointer that moves by itself, and when my mouse is unplugged and I work with the pad, I have the same problem.
It's nothing but the optical mouse you have. Disconnect the mouse and try again, in my opinion it will work.
Please keep me informed if it works.

I have a wireless optical mouse with a USB connector and I have the same problem, my mouse is moving around. Do I have a virus?

A mouse isn't haunted either.
Hello everyone, actually I’ve caught the joke virus quite a few times while downloading certain programs. I scanned with antivirus but found a virus named JOKE, but the antivirus says in actions No action Ta… (it's in English) but of course I didn’t open the program and I put it in the recycle bin and deleted it because it tells me that as soon as I try to move it to my quarantine file to destroy it. It says for example when I want to destroy it DELETE FAILED
So I never really understood what it does to computers.
At least on some sites, you can read that it’s a fake virus. (But I don’t really believe that)
Thanks for informing me if you know what it is because I will be often on the site and I have an address for you:http://marc-blanchard.com/
PS I HAVEN'T FINISHED READING EVERYTHING YET.

Hello everyone, I apparently have the same problem except that for me it's a touchpad and it works for
the pointer but since yesterday it no longer scrolls up and down!!
It’s very frustrating, I just read through this whole page and I saw in one message that this appeared after the installation
of the SP2 pack. I imagine it comes from the SP1 pack of Vista, because it started just after that installation!
By the way, I don’t even know what it’s for (I’m new to computers)!
I’ve had my laptop for about 6 months and I’ve already done at least 4 factory resets!
After a reset, everything is fine except I have to reinstall all my software (downloaded!)
because I don’t know how to back them up! So with every reset, I restore to factory settings!
But now my last restore was only 2 days ago and I already have problems
which is actually why I did my first restore, but I can't keep restoring my PC every time
my touchpad stops working!! Please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don’t know what to do, I tried everything with different cleaners (spyware, etc...)
'AVG Anti-Spyware, CCleaner, my antivirus is Bitdefender! So I don't know what to do, help SOS!!!

Hello, I also had some mouse problems and the information from your forum helped me to resolve them (although not completely :-( ).

Hello,
I’m summarizing for those who are still struggling with this kind of issue:
1. disable pointer enhancement in the control panel -> mouse
2. change the location of the receiver (away from the screen, away from the power supply, in short, away from interferences)
3. if it doesn't work, check in control panel -> mouse -> hardware tab
If you have 2 mice detected, you need to disable one (the second one generally). This step saved me from trouble.
Hoping this helps others!

Hi, I had the same issue too. I tried everything, and the last thing I did was unplugging and replugging the mouse several times. Mine is USB, and for now, it's working.
Hi,
I had a problem with a wireless optical Logitech mouse. I plugged it directly into USB (without going through the green converter), and no more issues.
See you later!

Hello,
I have a problem with my mouse that has recently started... It keeps falling continuously towards the bottom of the screen.
To make it usable, I had to slow down the pointer speed... But it's very annoying, I must admit.
Especially since I feel like it's a virus. Because when I changed my optical mouse to a ball mouse, I had the same problem.
And when using my mouse on another computer, I noticed it worked perfectly.
So I'm asking for everyone's help to get rid of this little problem.
Please, help me!!! Thank you very much.

Thank you for the information. In the end, I connected a regular USB mouse and I no longer have any problems. Thanks to everyone.
Good, for this pointer issue that goes crazy, it happened every time I moved or lifted the mouse (NGS USB wired laser)... it has happened to me several times already on different operating systems. Everything was back to normal each time by disconnecting and reconnecting the USB plug... seems to be a port management issue.
I have the same problem with my wired Microsoft optical mouse. I've tried all the suggested solutions but none worked. Do you have any idea what I can do to fix the issue?
Thank you in advance.

Hi folks...
Another solution not mentioned here...
It happened on my PC and my girlfriend's.
You go to the device manager.
You will notice that two mice are recognized (one default and the other plug & play, I imagine)
there is a conflict between the two drivers.
You disable one of them. If the mouse doesn’t move anymore, unplug it and plug it back in, and choose to disable the other.
If it still moves, then the problem of the mouse moving on its own is over; otherwise, it's an issue with the signals for wireless mice or the mouse pad for the others.
There you go, this will help more than one!
Personally, I pulled my hair out for a long time over this! Since then, I’m bald! :)

If I can modestly offer my help, after spending X days browsing the web in search of a solution, it's simply that in the control panel it detects 2 mice and you need to remove the HID mouse, AND HOP, like magic it stops right away... FINALLY the solution after weeks of lost evenings, I hope it will work for you too!
Hello everyone!
I'm here to give you a simple answer, if it's a hacker, I have the solution but if the solution I provided doesn't work, I won't be able to help you...
So, usually hackers are people who control Trojans (viruses that can see all your credentials (passwords, etc...) MSN, Facebook, etc...) For that, if you have an antivirus, do a thorough scan of your computer, a detailed scan for Avast antivirus...
Then, if your antivirus detects this Trojan, delete it or if you can't, download Registry Booster, it's free, buy it to completely erase all your errors to make sure you leave nothing behind, if you haven't bought it, you will only be able to remove 15 errors on your computer.
I hope I have helped you,
Best regards, The_Reparateur.
