Hello, I can't start my PC.

When I press the main button to start my PC,
it powers on but gets stuck on the first screen:
I copied below what it said:

Phoenix - AwardBIOS v6.00PG, An Energy Star Ally
Copyright (C) 1984-2003, Phoenix Technologies, LTD

W7061VMS V3.2 072804 15:03:47

Main Processor : AMD Athlon(tm) XP 1600+
Memory Testing : 196608K OK + 64M shared memory

Primary Master : ST340810A 3.39
Primary Slave : None
Secondary Master : TOSHIBA DVD-ROM SD-M1612 1806
Secondary Slave : €A █SMNm Cè┌┌█╔ D->n[Uhn┐╚2█4A 1 ² € ▄E

So I think it's the CD drive that's causing the issue. (Because I have a DVD drive and a CD drive)
I would like to know if it is possible that it prevents the PC from starting, and if so, how to fix it?

Thank you in advance
Configuration: Windows XP Safari 525.13

Try to enter the BIOS if you can and change the "boot device priority". Maybe your computer is booting from the CD or DVD, which is why it's not looking for the second priority...

    F2 to enter the BIOS...

    Thank you,

I have already entered the BIOS to set the boot priority to a drive because I need to install Windows on it.

In the BIOS, I found "CD-Rom" but not the DVD.

I was thinking, if I unplug the CD drive, will it boot from the DVD drive?

    Hello,
try to remove or disconnect the CD drive in the hardware configuration, it might be the conflict between the two drives.
If that doesn't work, try to "accidentally" turn off the computer and then turn it back on. Or use the reset button to clear the memory content.
In any case, if it worked before, there is likely no conflict.

It's normal that it's not working; the drive connected to the Secondary IDE is not in "Slave" position, which is why it's reporting an error.

Change the position of the small jumpers located at the back of the hard drive, setting them to slave for the CD drive and master for the DVD burner.

Thank you, I unplugged the CD player and now it works,
even Windows is working again, because before it was stuck on the boot screen (XP icon with the blue loading bar).
    Thanks to both of you.
