Hello,
A grandpa (me) is trying to put together his PC, but here’s the problem:
I bought a MS 7295 v 1.0 motherboard (nec vl 360), and I’m in the C....
to connect (reset sw - power sw - power led - hdd led - FAN - (ground - uuv - ss - bbc - ddc - +-) .....
* because I don’t have any documentation, nor any assembly diagram.
* nor the drivers....
if you have anything to guide me, it would be cool
thank you in advance everyone

Hello
< where is the screen showing the temperature at the top of the tower. >
I also have two temperature sensors in a rack for components
I placed one under the CPU cooler, closest to it
and the second on a memory stick
< the rear fan >
does it expel hot air from the tower???
< For the side fan, it is connected to a black contact (FAN) that is part of a cable...>
exact, it needs to be connected to the cable
on the power supply cable, I have a connector with three wires: yellow, red, black
which can accommodate a connector from a two-wire fan: red, black
match black-black and red-red (12-volt power supply)
my partitioning of my main HDD (hard disk), a 160 GB that I had (all in FAT32, with a Win98/ME boot disk)
- C:\ of 14,000 MB
- D:\ of 100,000 MB
- and E:\ the rest (about 36,000 MB)
* why in FAT32: I have a little habit of working through the command line, and under DOS it's in FAT
* on C:\ I have:
my system Ghost image (I have Norton Ghost 2003)
the "inf" and "I386" files from the XP CD
and my HP scanner that only works correctly if installed on C:\ (so I have a "Program Files" directory just for it)
* on D:\, I have my installation files in a directory \Hardware (MB, GPU, WiFi, webcam, printer ......) and a directory \Software (all my software that I use)
* on E:\, the XP operating system (why on E:\ = because most viruses and spywares are designed to work from C:\)
installation of the OS (operating system), I proceed as follows
(with the minimum hardware connected: floppy drive, main HDD, DVD drive, and ethernet or WiFi modem if it's PCI)
1°) installation of XP, SP1, SP2, SP3
2°) installation of an antivirus
3°) installation of Windows updates (through forced Update; if you don't have the SPs, count on about two hours)
4°) then I finish with the chipsets of the MB, graphics card, sound card .......
5°) connecting the internal hardware: DVD burner, second HDD, .......
6°) finally, all the trappings of external hardware and software
between 3°) and 4°), I create a shortcut for "Computer Management" on the "Desktop"
this makes it quicker to check if there are any yellow circles in "Device Manager"
between each hardware installation, I reboot the PC and look for any yellow circles, it’s easier to find the drivers in the installation directory of the hardware just installed
if you want to convert your partitions to NTFS later, you can do it through Windows, so .....
see you

I just saw that one of my messages isn't showing up
First of all, if you can, please add "MSI MS-7295" to the title of the message
because I can't (I'm not the one who sent the message)
otherwise I'll ask CCM to do it (for easier future searches)
I've filled in a bit everywhere
Buying Windows XP will be increasingly difficult in the future (little search from Google buddy)

Also on this page

A 64-bit version would be preferable (also check the price)
On CDISCOUNT, the price is limited, for €125

You have to follow it to the letter
It will be the hardest part for partitioning
There are a few topics to look at, especially "FDISK"
http://www.commentcamarche.net/faq/sujet 280 partitioning a hard drive
To install Windows, you have an IDE port, which is easier for a beginner (you need an IDE hard drive, and you're talking about a SATA drive, I'll take one of each)
- An IDE hard drive of about 160 GB for €33/38
https://www.topachat.com/micro/index.php
https://www.topachat.com/micro/index.php
- A SATA hard drive of about 250 GB for €37/38
https://www.topachat.com/micro/index.php
https://www.topachat.com/micro/index.php
Otherwise, for SATA drives, see this explanation first: "Installing Windows XP on a SATA drive"
http://www.commentcamarche.net/faq/sujet 5249 install windows xp on a sata drive
For your connections, if you're not really sure of yourself, it would be better to find a little computer technician from a street corner near you
because without having the PC in front of you, over the phone
As for other equipment, you will need:
- a DVD reader under IDE,
- a DVD burner under SATA
- and a floppy disk drive
See you +

Good evening,
The grandpa that I am thanks you for your help, because I'm really struggling this past week!
I looked at the "JFP1" and I wired: not used - power sw - power led
reset sw - hdd led ???
For the "JAUD 1" I wired the jack cable (sound) pink and green on it ????
There are still the 2 USB cables (front) marked: 2 ground contacts and 2 pins usbd+ usbd- vcc.
Is that okay???
The 120 mm fan is it a "F" clip contact or???
And finally, the last one a "F" speaker 4 pins but 2 wires (N&R)
If you can still help the grandpa, thanks in advance.

Good evening, old bison,
First of all, my new machine is on hold, I'm waiting for the green light from my supplier for the purchase of the
hard drive (I'm looking for a medium capacity drive, 250 GB or 320 GB in SATA).
To date, I still haven't found an XP software!!!
How can I know if my wiring is reliable without frying the stuff LOL because I don't know!!!!
As for your explanations on page 28, SORRY, IT'S CHINESE TO ME
I would prefer a phonetic explanation (AT MY EXPENSE OF COURSE!!)
In the meantime................
Thanks, Grandpa Shen

It's an OEM card that is installed in a brand-name PC
so you won't find a technical manual online
you need to know which PC it was installed in, to try to find something
and MSI won't provide any information

Yes, I know
but the sellers do not provide this information, as it is an OEM card
they are intended for replacements in branded PCs, like Medion, PB, Acer and others
the only way is to "hustle" the seller: either he provides you with the drivers and the manual for the connections, or he swaps it for a standard one
see you later

< Still remaining are the 2 USB headers >: the two yellow connectors at the bottom
marked "JUSB1" and "JUSB2"
for a case fan, you have a connector at the bottom right, just to the left of the "SATA" = SYSFAN2
( 3 pins )
JSPK_OUT Speaker Out connector: below the PCI slots, in green (to indicate the pins, nothing)
but for the contacts, you will need to do some tests, or even try to remove them from the connector (it's a 4-pin inline connector you have)

Hello,
I placed the speaker on the GREEN contact JSPK_OUT on the bottom left.
The "sound" ribbon is on the BLUE contact JAUD1 on the bottom left.
For the USB ribbons, ok for connector YELLOW JUSB1 & JUSB2, QUESTION: do I place the ribbons on the same
connector, e.g. JUSB1, or 1 connector per ribbon?
The CPU fan is connected to sysfan 1, and the rear fan is connected to sysfan 2.
My question is: where should I connect the 120 mm fan from the side panel?
Papy shenlang thanks you for your help, it's nice to give a hand, especially to a grandpa!!!

re: V.bison
Additional information, for the 2nd vent I'll wire (lateral) with just 2 wires "Red & BLACK" and at the end
a black F connection that looks like a clip with 2 small ears on the sides, how to find an extension and make the wiring standard?
And where to find the connector to wire it? (there's a brown connector above a black slot).
Thanks old crippled bison!!!

RE ,
Papy shenlang is really struggling!!!!
1) Speaker to be connected to the JSPK_OUT is fine, but on the JSPK there are 5 contacts: 2 at the top & 3 at the bottom
the speaker has 4 outputs and is wired at each end (2 wires 1N&R) = what to do?
2) still the problem with the side fan, I don't understand....!!!!
OK I'm improvising: the fan has 2 wires N&R, I'm making a 3-wire connector, I have one in front of me which is 3 wires
R-N-J there's one wire too many!! The J.
3) and then do I connect it as a duplicate on sysfan?
4) do I need drivers to configure this card or does it happen automatically??
Thank you so much for your patience and help.

1°) The tower speaker has 4 wires??? (2 sets of 2 red and black wires)
Normally, it has two wires, 1 black and 1 red, with a simple connector on each end.
2°) For the side fan, one black wire and one red wire (for 12 volts)
The yellow wire is for 5 volts (with the black wire)
Be careful about the rotation direction, the air should come in.
3°) Not on the SYSFAN, on a free 4-pin molex.
Black and red on the same side.
4°) Of course there are drivers for the motherboard, based on nVidia
on this page
http://global.msi.com.tw/index.php?func=downloaddetail&type=driver&maincat_no=1&prod_no=1346
You have an AM2 socket processor, so the drivers are at the bottom of the page.
But it’s not a problem, as we can search later; it won't prevent the OS installation, antivirus setup, Windows updates, or running a detection.
See you later

Good evening, old bison;
For the side fan, I had looked at it incorrectly, it seems to connect to the FAN connection (J&B wires) and R&N for the fan.
Now, we just need to connect the speaker (which should go to JSPK_OUT, but that doesn't match!!!
Finally, install PX, set up the motherboard drivers and there you go, one step done!!!!
Thanks from grandpa shen

On SYSFAN2, at the bottom, near the SATA ports, you should have the rear fan on top (normally), at position <15>
< ...For the side fan...>
it seems that you have a connector for a fan on the cables of your power supply???

Hello there,
You're absolutely right, I connected the rear fan to sysfan2 next to the SATA.
As for the side fan, it's connected to a black connector (FAN) that's part of a cable (5 wires B&1R)
this cable is linked to the dashboard where the temperature display is at the top of the case. But I don't know if I should connect it to the power supply via a molex cable!!!
Another question please, how do we install the motherboard drivers?
Do we need to install XP first or ......................?
Thanks old bison (it's great to have someone like you) for giving a helping hand
to the novice and grandpa too.

< ...where is the screen indicating... >
the entire screen indeed has a molex connector, it needs to be powered
for my rack, it's a 4-pin molex power connector like for a hard drive or DVD drive (it can also be like the one from a floppy disk drive)
I have two potentiometers to control the speed of two fans, so two small cables with power connectors and 3 wires each (black, red, yellow)
so for your 120mm side fan, you have a choice (see post <31>), but preference to connect it to "SYSFAN1"
