Hello,
I have been looking for a long time for the song with the following lyrics, for a moment:
They called it Indian Summer,
she galloped in the distance,
there is also another line, "a orange blossom on her breast,
this song was about a beautiful mare, on the cover of the vinyl you could see a man of Indian descent facing a rearing mare. all in black and white.
Help me, I have been searching for months.

After some research, I found this song "Été indien" sung in 1973 by Hugues Aufray for the series "Le neveu d'Amérique" by Gaspard Huit. The lyrics are by Boris Bergman and the music by Yani Spanos. It’s very difficult to find the song because I think it's only available on vinyl. Additionally, when you type "été indien," you always end up with the hit by Joe Dassin, which has nothing to do with it. There you go, happy searching, and if you find all the lyrics, please think of me.

10 years to see this answer... I'm like everyone else, I've had it in my head for decades, it's my childhood... thank you thank you for this answer.
I called her Indian summer, she galloped in the morning like a sun lost in winter and gave me a bit of her light. The color of night in the shadow of the morning, I called her Indian summer.
I called her Indian summer, 16-year-old girl, I don’t know...

Hi,
this song is the theme song of a TV series from the 70s. I've forgotten the title of that series. If we have the title, we could find the song. What I remember is this:
“They called her Indian summer, she galloped in the distance, like a sun that gets lost in winter, she gave me a bit of her light... the rest I don’t remember. But maybe the cover you saw could help you if you find it, write to me. Good luck.

Oh Dany, thank you,
I now remember those lyrics and that’s exactly it. However, it's impossible to find even the title. Keep helping me, thank you.

It is indeed the theme song of a series that aired on channel three in the 70s and 80s.
I don't know who the singer is, but the lyrics are as follows: I called her the Indian summer, she galloped in the distance, in a sun that gets lost in winter, she gave me a little of her light in the midst of the earth, I called her the Indian summer.

It’s the music that ended each episode of a series in which Jean-Claude Pascal starred, a series called "Le temps de vivre... le temps d'aimer"; the opening theme sung by Jean-Claude Pascal should be easy to find, but the ending theme with its beautiful lyrics is probably more difficult to locate. The composer is Michel Legrand!
