Hello,
Hello,
A week ago, I received a letter from SFR asking for the sum of €246.15 and notifying me that I've been registered with Intrum Justitia. I haven't paid the amount because I don't understand why the bill is so high; my line has been terminated. Last month, SFR made a billing error: €402.17 (billing for an unlimited number outside the plan). After sending letters to contest this, I only paid around thirty euros on that bill.
I believe there was the same error on the last bill of €246.15, that's why I don't want to pay. So, I sent a letter to SFR and Intrum Justitia asking them to recalculate the bill so that I can pay them.
Yesterday, I received a letter: MESSAGE N°: ...... PLEASE CONTACT US IMMEDIATELY REGARDING THIS MATTER AT 0 826 27 27 24 (0.15 eur/min) The service manager.
What should I do??
Thank you in advance for your answers :)

Intrum Justitia is a debt collection company. Its only job is to extort funds through intimidation. These companies have nothing to do with justice.
It should be noted that demanding money over the phone is liable to fines or even imprisonment.
Article 222-16 of the Penal Code!! -
Me too, I've lived with Itrum Justitia!!! We must acknowledge that it's currently all the rage, various firms like this are emerging that buy up different debts from companies without caring about anything regarding those debts and harassing individuals to recover that money which is 100% for them since they initially bought the debts for 10% of their value!!!
There are several ways to defend yourself:
- First, communicate in all forums, on Facebook, on Twitter, create groups or join existing groups, join the AFUB!
The goal is to make as many people as possible aware of the thug-like methods used by these organizations!
- Then, do not pay without having all the pieces of your file in hand (invoice, court payment order...etc)
But the most important thing is not to pay... -

Bonne chance.

Hi,
I understand your concern well because I work for SFR. If you owe this amount due to errors with favorite numbers, then files will be created and SFR will reimburse you directly since this is not intentional. I understand your worry. You should contact the collection agency at least to inform them of this to prevent it from causing you harm.-
Thank you for your reply!!
Yes, I am worried; I sent a letter to SFR to have them correct their mistake and send me an invoice.
Actually, last month, I didn't pay my bill of over 400 euros for the same error, so they called me to agree on an amicable settlement; I only paid about thirty euros, and now my line is canceled, so I'm not sure how to contact them since they don't seem to respond by mail.
Do you think I should rather sort things out with SFR? Because I think the collection agency doesn't care; they're just there to recover the money... -

what you are saying is false, we also act as mediators, we are not a customer service but we are authorized to inform the creditor of the issues the client is facing and to move the file's regularization forward. If you have a dispute and you have clear explanations and you are acting in good faith, we can help you and you will only pay what you owe. Above all, do not call yelling, it is useless.

Hello,
I had the same issue as you. This company scared me so much with the letters I was receiving that I ended up paying even though SFR messed up.
There's still a way before taking legal action, which is to go to the telecom mediator's website (www.mediateur-telecom.fr). He managed to get my money back quickly.
It's not very well-known, but it works. -
enter the telecommunications mediator and the fraud repression
the dispute concerns SFR and you
do not concern yourself with the collection agency, it will harass you even if you write to them and you will waste money and time, for nothing
kind regards

Hello,
I have the same issue as you but I won't give up because, like you, I am in my right. For me, it is exactly the same offense of overbilling but by France Télécom, which made a mistake.
Intrum Justitia can harass me indefinitely, I will not pay what they are demanding. Know that they cannot go further, because if the case has to be presented before a court, your so-called creditor knows very well that they will be dismissed. Stand your ground but always respond to them in writing. And keep a record in a file.
Take care. -

Hello.
This question is somewhat off-topic in this section of the site mainly dedicated to the Web.
It would be wiser to rephrase it on http://droit-finances.commentcamarche.net/forum/ where it can be addressed in a more focused and relevant manner.
Thank you.
See you later.

Bonjour, j'ai un numéro qui s'affiche tous les jours. On me dit que c'est SFR qui m'appelle. Le numéro de tel c'est : 00101010101. Pouvez-vous me dire si c'est un numéro fiable ? Merci.

Hello everyone, even to the hawk from Intrum^^ (politeness requires, I was well brought up...)
I encountered the same issue as you with SFR; I had a subscription with them for €39.90 per month which suddenly turned into a subscription for €399 per month without me changing anything in my subscriptions... I therefore canceled my SFR plan by registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt, but like many others, they did not take this letter into account... No matter, I have proof that they received it^^
It has now been 6 months since my file was sent to Intrum and they have been harassing me with letters, phone calls, texts, and emails; which is totally illegal!
When I wrote to Intrum to ask for a copy of my file, they replied that they do not have all the documents! I therefore believe that I owe nothing since I paid my last bill just after canceling.
My advice is as follows: if you actually have a debt, settle it directly with the company you owe it to, without worrying about this collection agency that misuses various illegal means and even threatens to come and take your underwear via a so-called "territorially competent" bailiff who actually works more than 1000 km away from you^^
To Dahenna: if you really want to be seen as a lawyer, start by making fewer spelling mistakes, you will probably be a bit more credible^^
PS: I am a woman, I have 4 children, and I am a tree pruner... it's not easy to impress me, let alone intimidate me^^ -
I foolishly started a payment plan with Intrum Justitia for fear they would seize my account (threatening letter with my account number!!!), so I began paying 50 euros a month for 2 months.
But when looking at the details of my debts (Orange), I realized they added non-existent bills.
My question is: since I started paying the payment plan and I plan to stop for now, is Intrum Justitia able to seize my account? I am on an insertion contract and therefore have a low income.-
No, you can stop paying, you won't be seized because it's an amicable procedure. Explain in your letter that you are stopping payments because you noticed additional invoices that you don't understand. You need to send supporting documents, such as the acknowledgment of receipt of the cancellation letter and a copy of the invoices charged after the cancellation date (I hope you adhered to your commitment duration if there was one, otherwise it's normal to receive additional invoices that correspond not to consumption but to the subscription amount, and that you have indeed returned any equipment if you received one). Also, call the creditor and ask them to send you a duplicate of the detailed invoice.
- I no longer have any proof in my possession. I did not adhere to the duration commitment.
And this is not an amicable arrangement since I was imposed a minimum of 50€ per month!! I was refused to pay 15 or 20 per month, so here I am, for now, I am not wealthy; I can no longer afford to pay this monthly amount. I am threatened with bank seizure; I don't see why, after all, Intrum does not have the power of a judge. - Is it an internet or mobile subscription??? If you can't pay more than 20 euros a month, send a letter with proof of income and include the exact dates of the payments you will make and the payment method you will use. Your repayment schedule will not be denied. The fees are handling fees that are not charged to the creditor.

All thieves, this must stop. I hope there are associations against these people. I am very angry with SFR, but I have to wait another year to stop. But after that, never again will I deal with such things. I want to be free from companies like this that should be condemned; they take advantage of the poverty of their clients. Long live the crisis.

Good evening to you
I come here to ask for your help to shed some light on my situation
So, I have a problem with Intrum Justitia who is asking me to pay €365.38 due to an unpaid scooter insurance with Allianz/Agf, but I no longer use this scooter (it's broken down)
I've already received several reminders from this company (simple letters, phone calls)
But today I received a letter that was folded in three, informing me of court action
What does this mean?
Thank you for your help-
Do you think that because your scooter is broken down you shouldn’t pay for insurance anymore??? It's like saying I won't pay my health insurance because I'm not sick. Sorry, but that doesn’t make much sense. Otherwise, regarding the court summons folded in three, don’t panic, you’re still within the framework of the amicable procedure, so call and see how you can pay. Your debt won’t increase contrary to what was said above; if you see a difference, it’s an addition of claims from AGF. There are quittance fees, but they don’t increase throughout the amicable procedure.
-
Hello, I read a little higher that you work at this company
However, today I got in touch with my insurance, and I have an appointment tomorrow morning
Should I have contacted Intrum first??
Thank you for getting back to me- It's not a big deal, check with your insurance and if you pay your insurance, they will inform Intrum. If they don't do it, you will send your payment proofs yourself. If you reach an agreement with your insurance, Intrum will implement what your insurance decides. You just need to provide justification to Intrum.
-
Well, to get back to the news that happened Saturday morning, I had my appointment with them, I was received by the director
I explained my case, etc...
And he concluded that I shouldn't have to pay because he simply looked at the contract, and to his great surprise, that famous contract was terminated since May, so for him, it makes no sense to pay since this contract was for 2010/2011
He told me I'm not going to pay for nothing
And moreover, if I have to pay, to my insurer, he confirmed to me that I would have to reopen a case and that it would incur more costs
So there you go- So why did your insurer assign the file to Intrum Justitia?? They need to do what's necessary to retrieve the file by contacting Intrum. Or they should provide you with a justification for you to send yourself. Your insurer is not being logical; they tell you that you owe nothing and then put you in collections.

If the equipment is accepted and the connection is established, then it is a signature; otherwise, you must return the equipment and write a registered letter to cancel and contest. If there have been withdrawals from Free or any other operator on your account, it means you provided your bank details and therefore you have indeed subscribed. Moreover, let's assume you did not subscribe and there are fraudulent withdrawals, then the bank is at fault because it cannot allow withdrawals without your authorization signature. Your bank must reimburse you.

Good evening,
Before criticizing collection agencies, you need to look for where the problem lies.
It comes from you, seek the cause.
These people do not know you, they are commissioned by a creditor to whom YOU OWE MONEY.
See you later! -
No need to be a lawyer to read and understand general terms of sale.
Regarding the chainsaw: I don't care what you think, I'm not trying to impress you or intimidate you, you are nothing. If you are happy to say that you have a man's physique, I don't find that very sexy. However, I understand that with your salary you may have a hard time making ends meet. You need to set up a payment plan. I suggest you call Intrum Justitia tomorrow.-
-
-
That's exactly what I thought... you can't even read properly!!!
First of all, I never said I had a man's physique ^^ think for 2 seconds before writing nonsense! (don't confuse a pruner with a lumberjack)
Secondly, I have no money issues at the end of the month because I work independently ^^
Thirdly, why would I set up a payment plan for a debt I don't owe? Probably to continue fattening up the powerless and manicured parasite that you are ^^
PS: I am indeed nothing; and you, you are less than nothing... -
-
-
-
Hello,
You all say nonsense, I work at Intrum Justitia and the invoices being claimed don't come from nowhere. Pay your debts instead of looking for the little beast to avoid paying what you have consumed. Admittedly, there are sometimes disputes and errors, but we can see the errors because we have access to your accounts, and if there are anomalies, we inform our clients and this is rectified. Most of the time you don't read the general terms and conditions of sale and then you come yelling on the phone while you are just ignorant. You have the opportunity to contest and send your justifications, and we take them very seriously.-
-
I don't think you look at and handle the files seriously. I sent a registered letter, a fax, and made a phone call, and I only got a response 6 months later... You call us ignorant, while you don't even know the full story of each of us. Try to help us and sort things out since you are so capable, and stop judging people.
