Hello,
I have Audacity v 1.2.6 and I would like to record the sound from my browser (IE7) with it. I have already seen several tutorials where they say to click the red button and it works. You also need to set the source to "What you hear" in the sound card panel, but according to some, this can only be done with Sound Blaster cards, while I have a Realtek (and I don't really have a manufacturer's sound card panel either!!!).
As a result, I cannot record :-(
Please help me sort fact from fiction and solve my problem!!!!!Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

Basically, before I would go to Deezer, turn the volume up all the way, and record in Audacity but you could hear me cough, now I go to Deezer, I only record the music from Deezer (or from YouTube or Windows Media Player, whatever you listen to), you can't hear me cough anymore but I can't mute the sound: if I listen and mute my computer, then Audacity only records silence...
One last strange thing, I plug in headphones into my computer, turn the volume up all the way, and Audacity records perfectly, but similarly, if I mute it, it only records silence... Basically, it records the sound from my sound card, not the microphone since I disabled it, but if I mute my PC, Audacity only records silence...
Thank you in advance for your help everyone.
