Hello,
I can't figure out whether the sender of the Brison tower in southern Ardèche switched to TNT. I heard "yes" but I can't find a source to confirm it.
Thank you for your responses

Hello,
In Lussas, everything is fine. Antenna probably oriented towards Brison. On the other hand, orientation is very precise, within a few degrees, but nothing else. -
Hello,
I am at the foot of the Col de l’Escrinet, and I’m not receiving TNT. I just went to an antenna installer and he confirms that the transmitter from the Brison tower for TNT is not in service and not before January or February or …?
that’s the news -
The transmitter of the Brison tower would have been in service since Friday 28/11/12 around 12:30 PM.
I will keep you posted next week if the installation on my new TV "TNT" worked.
A+ -
It seems there are interferences between the transmitter at Saint-Marguerite and the one at Brison Tower
You will be kept informed if I manage to get my TNT installer to talk next week
HAVE COURAGE ARDECHOIS -
Good evening, I live in Rosieres, the TNT works great in my village.
you can get screens as well as TNT decoders.
it has been working for about 15 days
see you soon if you want more information contact me.-
- It works!
DTT (digital terrestrial television) has finally arrived at my house, located about 9 km (approximately) from the Brison Tower transmitter!
I managed to gather a few pieces of information, to be taken with a grain of salt:
It seems that in the coming days, tests will be carried out on the Brison Tower transmitter to limit interference with the St Marguerite transmitter.
Indeed, the inhabitants of the VVE DE BERG, LAVILLEDIEU region and surrounding areas receive 2 signals. One signal emitted by the Brison Tower and one emitted by ST MARGUERITE, which results in malfunctioning TVs in several villages.
I’m counting on you, “Internet users,” to provide us with more information about the malfunctions, the dates on which you have reception issues, and especially any possible advice (if you have any) ...
Thank you all

Here I am in St Germain and for more than 5 weeks now we haven’t been receiving DVB-T. Since 2 (thus on 28/12/2008), I can again pick up DVB-T but we are missing channels including 2 and 3 on the generalist packages and others on the TNT bouquet. St Germain is normally served by St Marguerite. Who can tell us when everything will be back to normal. Father Christmas brought us a large flat screen and analog TV is not great. Thank you for your replies. Majo-
Good evening,
I am in Mirabel - in the plain of Lussas, and I just discovered, while researching on the net, that I am not the only one having TNT reception problems, since the end of November 2008, and which unfortunately continue these past few days.
I had tried to contact TDF, then renewed my request, they had referred me to the usual answers (check your cables, your orientation, the quality of your tuner...) and there was no real way to reach them, for a problem that evidently did not come from my installation (I can see both Sainte Marguerite and Brison hilltop transmitters). I had reduced myself to using internet reception...
it's still absurd to endure this kind of situation, while we pay the license fee, that TDF - whose mission it is - should ensure the proper distribution of the streams... Please keep me posted here if you see any news: for the last two evenings (January 8 and 9), I again receive channels 2 and 3 in TNT, even though it crackles often and the sound disappears... But I do not receive the other channels, even though I had perfect reception before!- Toujours Clodyus: For the umpteenth time I have just posted the following email on the TDF site:
Since the commissioning of the transmitter on the Brison Tower (Ardèche), at the end of November 2008, interferences make it impossible to fully access the TNT programs from the two transmitters, including Sainte Marguerite (Ardèche), to several hundred households of viewers: how many times must I report this problem before you intervene to fix it?
You can post it below, it should help move things along...

Like many of you, I always have trouble with receiving terrestrial digital television (TNT). Now I receive a few channels but with many dropouts, and on Arte HD the sound is choppy.
I also sent several emails on the TDF site, and the last one asking for a personalized reply instead of their text sent by a robot that sends us to a specialist (at our expense) to prove that it does not originate from our installation.
In response to this request here is a copy of their reply:

Ladies and gentlemen,
Ladies and gentlemen,
The Groups R1, R2 and R3 are not broadcast by TDF in your region but by Towercast. We cannot therefore intervene on its equipment.
Please accept the expression of our best regards.

I researched to find information about Towercast, and indeed they are the ones who manage the groups mentioned above.
I tried sending an email, without any certainty that it went to the right place, to date I have received no reply and still no complete and usable TNT.
Two and a half months to solve the interference problem between the two repeaters, it’s starting to take too long.
The more time passes, the more I think we’ll put a satellite dish back up, because apparently we’re dealing with some bozos. And they say that in two years analog reception will be definitively stopped... we could sell all our TVs right away, we’d save on licensing fees.

I also just searched; it’s Towercast that won the call for bids, with its own constraints, and Towercast’s contact is here:
http://www.towercast.fr/towercast.php?p=contact
And if we look for other sites around Towercast & TNT, we see that reception difficulties - cross-checking of receivers - exist elsewhere... But in densely populated areas (the Lille region, for example), and that seems absurd here. In that case I wonder, there must be a way to - as they say - move the lines - because either there is incompetence, or a rigged market, or who knows what... There must be someone who regulates (before it was TDF) Who should we contact: is it the High Authority for Audiovisual (which allocates frequencies), or the mediator? -
Here in Villeneuve, it’s misery....... No TNT on all public channels, TF1 and its bouquet present, M6 and its bouquet appeared and then disappeared.
This is starting to take a long time. Long live the technology..... Long live the 120 € license fee for 2009. Scandal. -
Hello,
in a sense, I’m relieved to see that I’m not the only one having reception problems.
The antenna is aimed at Ste Marguerite.
For a month now, I haven’t been able to receive the M6, W9 and Arte HD channels (which had appeared as if by a miracle!) and NT1 (I think?), corresponding to R4.
A week ago, I did another automatic channel search with my TV and it didn’t find them. After a “weak signal” message, “no signal,” now there’s nothing at all!
Do you know where we can file complaints?
What does sending letters to TDF and Towercast amount to?
Have a nice day. -
Hello again,
to report the issue I just filled out a form on the TDF site.
Here is the link for those who want it.
http://www.diffusion.tdf.fr/index_v2.php
There is also an option to report it to the CSA, but in that case you need to fill out an inquiry request with an "antennist." I’m including the link anyway

Ciao-
Hello everyone
Fill out a form on TDF's site, these idiots. TDF is useless
I’ve filled 2 or 3 there is more than a month nothing has moved.
I think you need to file a complaint for CSA with the help of your installer who confirms that your reception has not been functioning properly since 28/11/2008
I’m paying for Canal+ for nothing

To everyone
I have a good phone number for the company TOWERCAST
01 40 71 40 71 ask to speak to a technician the more people there are who complain the faster they will react -
Hello, I just did some tests on Lussas.
At St Marguerite and I think the Tour de Brison, same channels 12 channels out of 18. C43 and C46
On the Mont Ventoux side, quite a few channels as well, but not all, but the 6 channels that I’m missing. C35 or C38 I don’t remember.
I’m going with a double UHF coupler (about 10 euros) to couple two antennas in order to receive St Marguerite and Mont Ventoux.
With this setup, I think I’ll have C43, C46 and (C35 or C38) which will give me all 18 channels.
I hope the channels received on Mont Ventoux won’t be the same as St Marguerite, otherwise I risk echo problems, but in digital, I think the issue is smaller.
I’ll keep you posted on the result if you’re interested.
see you later -
I live in Aubenas, Saint-Pierre neighborhood. The reception TV cuts out relatively often. Why?
-
I am Joyeuse and for a few weeks I’ve been receiving TNT (with a small indoor antenna) — I must say I can see the Brizon tower from my home.
-
Short-lived miracle.
Yesterday at Villeuneuve de berg, TNT Reception 5/5....... from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM then everything disappeared except the TF1 and M6 bouquet.
There is egregious nonsense.-
The TNT was working perfectly at your place (5/5) because the relay at the "Tour de Brison" was stopped due to Saturday's storms. As soon as the relay at the "Tour de Brison" restarted, yesterday evening, your receiver started to pick up 2 signals: => that from "Sainte Marguerite" => and that from the "Tour de Brison" As a result your receiver has once again started to malfunction, as, undoubtedly, have many private individuals. Sorry I can't provide solutions, but I hope the Net will help us make progress on the subject.

- My antenna is pointing somewhere I’m not sure. It should be between the Brison tower and St Marguerite.
Let’s say Southwest. For info, toward the Abraham rock (in terms of direction). I don’t know if anyone knows!
Maybe that the antenna in this position receives less interference on the channels!
I have the 18 clear channels + the encrypted ones. In total 31 I think
see you later

Hello,
Have there been any recent updates on restoring the Ste Marguerite transmitters and the Brison tower?
This is taking a very long time and still no result.
On St Germain, it’s still a nightmare, we tried steering our antenna toward the Brison tower, it’s a bit better but we are far from getting all the channels and we still have dropouts.
Couldn’t we undertake a joint action so that our ingenious engineers finally find the right adjustment so that we all regain the TNT? It’s not very normal that users have to search for the best solution themselves, or even invest to receive TNT by satellite. And on top of that, for some, we pay subscriptions for channels we don’t receive. They really take us for fools.

Are your DVB-T reception issues resolved?
For me in St Germain there’s no improvement, I still can’t receive all the channels. I subscribe to TV Numéric to get eurosport and here too I don’t get the full bouquet.
We tried turning our antenna toward Brison, it’s a bit better but far from perfect, with many dropouts and channels barely watchable as the picture is choppy.

Hello
Does anyone know if TNT reaches the communes of Rocles and Joannas?
I would like to install TNT but I don't know if I should take the antenna or the satellite.
A big thank you for your reply.
