Well, it's been a week that my Freebox has been showing signs of weakness. Sometimes, strong smells of smoke are noticeable and the Wi-Fi is down!

I called the hotline and after a quarter of an hour, a woman who had difficulty speaking French asked me to reboot!!! (after a burning smell, the first thing to do is to disconnect everything) But above all, to pay up to 350€ if it really burnt out (I've been with them for 2 years)

The insurer is absolutely not involved in this price drop
I have been hounding them on the phone since Monday (we'll see the bill)

Free??? Which ISP knows this term? Possibly Orange, but it's true that the Livebox is rented (what is the additional annual cost??) and the replacement time was 3 weeks due to stock shortage.........

just for your information, I also "burned out" a FBX v4 (due to the storm last week) and the subscription is for more than 3 years.

-> 1st response from Free (FBX change service): you will see a V5 if you request the change from your V4 => ok, I will call back.
-> 2nd response from Free (FBX change service): we cannot send you a V5 if the V4 is down, call tech support and it will cost you 150 € => ok, I have no choice.
-> 3rd response from Free (tech support): check with your insurer and 150 € to give us => ok, I will call you back.
-> 4th response from Free (tech support): ok, we will send it to you but it will cost 190 € => ??? I was told 150? -> yes, but that's for the V5 and you have a V4 => ???? so the V4 costs more than the V5? -> yes.

=> the V4 is ordered, we will see the bill.......

(for your information, I already changed the transformer of the FBX and that was free)

But now 350 €: they seem to set a price based on the sound of your voice..........
