Good evening and Happy New Year to everyone ^^
So I have a bit of a peculiar problem to share.
One of my friends has been with Free for just over a year. She has a Freebox Mini 4K.
Last March (which was 10 months ago), there was a storm in the city where she lives and bam! The box desynchronized. She restarted it afterward, and it got stuck at step 2...
My problem is that this friend is a phobic of all kinds of procedures, and so she simply unplugged her box and put it back in its box... No call to Free, no tickets, no interventions, etc...
It's only now that she confides all this to me... So what should we do?
Should we call Free and honestly explain the problem? Should we lie? If so, won't they see that my friend hasn't used her box for 10 months... Should she cancel her subscription? While reading the terms and conditions, we saw that if there is a cancellation and the box is defective, compensation will be requested up to 200 euros... A significant amount, which she doesn't necessarily have... Especially since they didn't ask for a deposit when she signed up...
I should mention that I did some tests with the Freebox today. It turns on but remains stuck at step 2, whether at her place or mine (where I'm with Orange). I tried with another ADSL cable (the cable between the socket and the box). My next test this week will be to find a modem and see if it works for her (I want to ensure it's really the box and not the sockets or the wiring)...
Any advice?
Thanks in advance for your replies ;)

Thank you for your reply.
Don’t you think they’ll catch on to the fact that there hasn’t been a login history for 10 months?
Thank you very much again for your reply ;)
