Search driver for JVC GR-DX317 camcorder

Hello,
I would like to rephrase my request for the driver because the one provided with the device does not allow me to transfer the videos from the cassette to the PC (with Windows XP) using the USB cable; the device is not detected. I admit that I'm a bit lost, so I need your help!!!
Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 2.0.0.16

    You have the driver here (but be careful because I didn’t see your device in the list when pressing "USB Driver Download for DV camcorder / USB Driver for DV camcorder"!) : http://www.commentcamarche.net/pilotes/pilote 356686 jvc gr dx317

    I think, without being a specialist, that you should rather use the Firewire or IEEE 1394 cable provided (I don’t know if it is actually) with your camcorder or otherwise, you might need to purchase one.
    You must definitely use the driver on the CD-ROM otherwise it is not detected.
