It's very simple, you don't have to worry. I know it's not a headset problem or a concern with Acid; the issue (if we can call it that) comes purely from your settings. In fact, you just need to go into your sound configuration on your PC and set the microphone recording to "MICROPHONE" because if that's happening, it means you're currently set to "RECORDING WHAT I HEAR"! Your problem will be solved afterwards! I had the same issue, but I fixed it by searching diligently. ;)

Ok guys, I'm going to explain how to avoid any sound feedback on a recording. The track you use to record should always be on mute during your vocal take. This prevents any interference from the instrument; your voice will come out clear without any noise. Then, for the vocal settings, you need to make sure your Acid Pro is loaded with a few VSTs.
Download Inspector VST, which manages your left and right output; you absolutely need the L3 Multimaximizer. Then, set everything on your mixing table in Acid, assign a letter to each track, and be careful: the volume should change; don’t overload with FX. The voice should be audible but not too boosted for now, keep all the tracks at level; the main voice must not exceed 3 on your mixing table.
The background tracks should be about half the volume of the main track.
Never use reverb or echo on a main voice.
The reverb is only for the background track, so go light on it.
Then, the ambient tracks should be at the same level, half as loud as the background track.
After that, listen to your sound just a cappella.
Slide your instrument in; the sound of the instrument track should match the volume of the main voice.
Once your sound is sounding good, create a folder on your desktop called "accap 1."
Export the tracks of your sound!!!!!!! ONE BY ONE!!!!!!!
To your accap folder.
