Original version of Windows XP Solitaire

Question

Hello everyone,

I'm desperately trying to recover the Windows XP solitaire to implement it on another PC that only supports Windows 98.
On the internet, only different versions can be downloaded - the closest version being the Kondike one, but it lacks the countdown unique to the original version.
Is there a way to retrieve that famous solitaire?
For your information, I tried copying the sol.exe file into system32 but nothing worked...

The games are installed by default.

Otherwise, Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs -> Add or Remove Windows Components
Accessories and Utilities -> Details
The Games box must be checked, press OK, then Next.

If I understood correctly, you want to put Solitaire XP on a 98. It should be doable. But I warn you, there's not much difference.  @+

Who set up the PC for you? Maybe the builder didn't install Solitaire in the first place.

I installed 98 myself on this PC. Isn't Solitaire installed by default...?

Oh come on! Move it a bit, guys! Are you waiting for roasted pigeons? You stick your Win98 CD in the machine. You go to add/remove programs/Windows installation and you add the games... Even when I started in computing, I understood that right away. Even my grandmother could do it!!!!!

Hello

The other day I wanted to uninstall Outlook, and before the uninstallation was complete, I canceled it because of a lack of trust.. & all my games disappeared, I can't find them anymore... what should I do?
I tried downloading SOLITAIRE & FREECEL on the internet but they weren't the same, and I would like to have them in their original versions.. Can someone please help me?

copy sol.exe AND cards.dll to system32 or another folder. the files need to be in the same folder.  it works for me!!!
