I sensed the scam coming just in time
I am posting here the different emails I received if it can help some
I will also provide the various addresses that were communicated to me
emails from the so-called seller: martinbrigitte60@yahoo.fr
1)
Hello
I have acknowledged receipt of your email, thank you for applying to my ad for the Renault Clio II (2) 1.5 DCI 65 HP CONFORT DYNAMIQUE 5P that I posted on Leboncoin; it is not sold yet and is still available for 1800 euros. The vehicle is in perfect condition and I have carried out a complete service before posting the ad, and all its papers are up to date (CARTE GRISE + CERTIFICATE OF CESSION + CERTIFICATE OF NON GAGE + SALES CONTRACT). It is a car that has no problems, it has never been in an accident and has no scratches.
I want to inform you that I am a married woman with two children, one of 21 years and a baby of 9 months, who just lost their father due to a heart attack. After the funeral, I decided to go on vacation to change the air because his absence is becoming a real ordeal for me. That's why I want to get rid of our car at this price to quickly find a buyer since it also reminds me of bad memories of my husband, since my flight is already scheduled.
I entrusted the car to a sales agent before my trip. He will deliver it to your home without any transport fees because we signed a sales contract followed by delivery. Here are some characteristics of my car.
So if you are still interested in my car:
Version: II (2) 1.5 DCI 65 HP CONFORT DYNAMIQUE 5P
Year: 2004
Mileage: 94,870
Tax power: 4 CV
Transmission: Manual
Fuel type: Diesel
Interior color: blue fabric
Exterior color: metallic blue
- ABS
- Airbags
- Front + side airbags
- Immobilizer
- Air conditioning
- CD Radio
- Steering wheel controls
- Electric windows
- Non-smoker
2)
Good evening
I just read it and please forgive me for my delayed response. I inform you that I have already passed your details to the private transporter and he is just waiting for you to decide on the day he will come to deliver the vehicle to your home. As I explained in my email,
I am ready to take the flight with my two (2) children for holiday distractions due to my husband's death. The vehicle will be delivered to you with all the documents in order, namely: the already crossed out carte grise, the non-gage certificate dated less than one (1) week ago, the technical inspection dated less than six (6) months, the distribution belt change invoice, the sales certificate, all accompanied by a notarized copy of my ID card to finalize the transaction.
However, the payment will be made in cash to the transporter since bank-certified checks are not allowed in this country where I want to join my husband. Therefore, please go to your bank to withdraw cash before the delivery day. Once you have the cash, please send me an email to confirm the day and time of delivery that suits you this week.
I hope you are sincere because I do not want any jokes please.
then a message from the so-called transporter that raised my suspicions:
partickbaumont@yahoo.fr
WELCOME TO
The transport service
Dear Client
I inform you that I have picked up a RENAULT Clio II (2) 1.5 DCI 65 HP CONFORT DYNAMIQUE along with all its documents. After verification at the prefecture and a check by my mechanic, this RENAULT has all its documents in order and it has no mechanical or electronic issues. The RENAULT will be delivered to the address below according to the authorization of Mrs. Martin Brigitte, who has proven to be your seller:
HERE IS THE ADDRESS FOR YOUR HOME DELIVERY
Name......
First name...........
Address.....
Postal Code.....
Phone.............
Shipping fee: Unique Flat Rate Free Delivery from 00.€
Following the reception of this address, I confirm that I will come to deliver the RENAULT with all its papers in order, including the non-gage certificate, the carte grise; the purchase invoice, the certificate of conformity, the transfer certificate, the insurance booklet, the sales power of attorney already established in your name that you must sign to take possession of the car as well as a copy of the owner's ID to finalize the transaction.
PS/I want to assure you that you will not have to pay shipping fees as this is the responsibility of the owner.
Regarding the payment procedure, the cash payment that I prefer has caused me many problems because sometimes I run great risks transporting cash over 1500 euros. Having received strong recommendations from my insurance for our security, I was advised to receive in place of cash a receipt issued at Western Union counters at the train station in exchange for reimbursement to avoid robberies and other attempts. This is a hidden payment made against the delivery of the car keys.
So here are the owner's details to which you will need to establish the Western Union mandate at a train station at a Western Union counter before my arrival:
Name:............ MARTIN
First name:........ BRIGITTE
Country:............. BURKINA FASO
City:............. Ouagadougou
Address:........ 12 RUE DE LA GENDARMERIE
Postal code:... 00226
PHONE......... 00229 9798 2893
NB: IN ORDER TO REDUCE THREE TIMES THE FEES YOU WOULD HAVE TO PAY AT THE WESTERN UNION COUNTER, AS PURCHASES AND TRANSACTIONS BY INTERNET ARE OFTEN TAXED, SO THAT YOU DO NOT EXPERIENCE SUCH A SITUATION, JUST SIMPLY SAY IT IS TO SEND TO YOUR FAMILY IN CASE THE POSTAL WORKER ASKS YOU THE REASON FOR THE TRANSFER
Once the mandate is established, please contact your seller so that they can give me the green light for the delivery to your home properly.
Attached is my national ID for more assurance
Awaiting your response.

It's a shame I can't add the ID!!!-

They have another strategy
Read the email I received yesterday!
Thank you for the attention given to the ad for my Toyota Land Cruiser 3.0 VXE 4X4. I retired last February, and I have just joined my wife in a government position abroad. My wife and I will not return to the country until October 2015, when her position ends (RETIREMENT), and that is why the vehicle is for sale.
Before any travel, I entrusted my car to a transporter who has the authority for the sale and will take care of delivering it to you if you wish for home delivery.
I am not selling it for money because it is worth more than that.
The vehicle is in very good condition and perfectly drivable, with no expenses to foresee, a superb body without dents or scratches, garage maintenance - timing belt changed - technical inspection OK, complete maintenance book up to date, full tracking, car-pass available, pink sheet available.
It has just come out of revision + oil change + last invoices available.
If you are interested, please leave me your contact information as follows:
Name
First Name
Complete delivery address
Mobile phone number
so that I can forward them to the delivery person who can contact you for a visit to the car at your home at no cost as he is already paid for the delivery.
Below are some recent images of my car.

Scam very dangerous. !!!
The name and address of the fortunate employee are used for the transit of goods 'purchased' with stolen credit card numbers.
The conscientious employee scrupulously forwards the goods for 4 weeks. Then, no salary is paid but the visit of the Police alerted by the scammed Companies.. Accusation of receiving stolen goods, etc.. You can imagine the rest...
BE CAREFUL!!
Have a good day anyway...-

To be useful to others and help hinder the activities of these small "businesses"
it would be preferable:
1°) to copy on this forum:
- the received emails (being sure to remove your personal information)
- the email addresses used by the scammers
- and if it is an advertisement: also copy the address of the site where you found this ad and the references of the ad (in this case, do not forget to report this ad to the site that publishes it so that it is quickly removed.
2°) Report the scam on the site that has just been created by the Ministry of the Interior:
https://www.internet-signalement.gouv.fr/PortailWeb/planets/Accueil!input.action
3°) File a complaint at the nearest police station or gendarmerie, bringing all the information you have:
- references of the money transfers made,
- references of the people contacted: email or mailing address, usernames used, phone numbers, fax, copies of exchanged emails/letters…,
- any other information that could help identify the scammer)
Thank you for your cooperation :)

Thank you, to you.
It needs to stop, and unfortunately the web is filled with this kind of scam.
Earn €9000/month or better €500/in 30min.
Have a nice day.
