Hello everyone, I happened to remove the arrow from all the shortcut icons. But I no longer remember how I did it.... I don't even know if it's thanks to an icon editing software or a simple Windows option. If a kind soul knows, I would be delighted to put my desktop back to normal, I know, a bit of a neat freak...!! Thank you, Victor.

Hello,
Under XP, to remove the arrow:
Start, run regedit
-Go to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT then lnkfile
-Delete the key "IsShortcut"
-Close the registry and restart
To bring it back, recreate the key "IsShortcut"
Best regards and see you later

Thanks for replying so quickly, and what you’re making me do sounds familiar. However, I can't find inkfile so I looked for IsShortcut but there are several and I don't know which one to delete. Am I a bit of a jerk...? If you can still help me.
it's not inkfile but lnkfile...
