Mario 64 ds: key to the 2nd floor!

Hello, where can I find the key that opens the door to the 2nd floor? Help me!!!!!! Thank you.

    Hello Xelozone, I solved my problem: the 2nd floor opens with the key that the 1st Bowser (the one from the basement) gives you when you beat him! I thought I had already done that... in any case, thank you!

      When you go up to the castle, you see a door with a big star on it. You enter and you go see, he will say that he set a trap for you (yes, the floor shifts WHEN you pass, you beat Bowser, he will give you a key).       Hi, you don't need this door unless you're curious to see behind, so go to the room where the fatal lava painting is (in the basement). Go towards it but don't go in; take the path to the right, you'll see 2 doors, take the one on the right (the one without a star), go left, climb the stairs and there you go, you know what it is, lol!!

    I have a problem similar to the one in the conversation. I have 45 stars, I have Mario and Luigi, but I can't get to the door at the top of the stairs. What should I do?
    I don't have a second floor.

      To reach the second floor, you need to defeat the second Bowser in the basement. After that, there’s another staircase with a star door that requires 50 stars to access.

      You go to the basement where there is a star door; you need to have 30 stars to access it. As soon as you have them, you enter the room and you will see a painting called "Horrible Basin." You need to complete the first mission of the painting. Then, when you exit the painting, there will be a hole, so jump into it. In the end, you will have to defeat the second Bowser.
