Nintendo DS Lite not detecting games

Hello,

I have a little issue with my DS Lite. When I put a game in the top slot where it’s supposed to go, it doesn’t detect it. However, if I put one in the bottom slot for GBA games, it works fine. I’ve blown into it as advised, but nothing works; I don’t understand what’s going on. If you know what the problem might be, please contact me so I can find a solution. Thank you all. 
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

    Here it is. I also have a DS Lite.

    After a certain amount of use, it no longer detects the cartridge.

    What to do:

    - turn off the DS
    - remove the cartridge
    - blow on it (but don’t spit)
    - check the cleanliness of the connectors on the cartridge
    - put the cartridge back in
    - turn the DS back on

    If it still doesn’t work, try reinserting the cartridge while wiggling it a bit in the slot. After 2-3 tries, it should work.

    PS: avoid touching the cartridge while playing, otherwise it might cause the game to glitch.
