Pb Freebox HD sound but no image

Question

Hello,
I'm reaching out to you to find a solution.
I installed the new Freebox HD, but I have sound and no image.
Internet and telephone are working fine except for the image.
I've tried everything: rebooted, hard rebooted, changed to a CRT TV, nothing works.
Help me

NB: I have the latest version of the FREEBOX HD modems, which means without antennas on both boxes, unlike the videos presented.
It needs to be FULL HD, send the modem back, break the machine lol.

Configuration: Windows Vista Internet Explorer 7.0

Greetings,I had the same issue today.I had sound but no picture with the same type of connection as yours.However, when I went into the menu with the free button, there it was.I went into the display settings, switched to S-Video output, then switched back to RGB mode.Back to the TV, and the picture returned.So it doesn't explain the problem, but it allowed me to get the video back ^^Good luck!

Good evening,

No need for full HD, I have a CRT and it works just fine... from what I remember when I got the HD box, I had to connect the HD box to the Freebox via Ethernet cable... I assume you are on total unbundling...
At worst, if you have technical troubles, go to the Free website, in "contact us" there’s a chat support... and you can chat with a guy from the hotline... they can inform you (I find that better than the phone... although sometimes even online they can be annoying and not understand anything...) lol!
At worst, it may sound silly but check your SCART cable... and test it with a DVD player or VCR, because there might be an issue with the video socket...

It's indeed strange, but your Freebox, ..., version without antenna, are you using it with CPL?
I looked into your problem, without much success ..., moreover, I'm surprised that the hard reboots don't fix the issue. When you turn on the HD box, do you see the Free (blue) menu?
When you say you've rebooted ... is it the Freebox and the HD box?

CPL is a means of accessing the internet via electrical current. Basically, if you have the modem in your living room and the HD box in another room, instead of connecting them via WiFi, you plug them into the power (CPL, with a special box) and your bandwidth goes through the power line, simple as that. To get back to your issue, I have version 5 of the Free box (with the antennas) and when I turn on my HD box, it loads, it says "Rock'n'Roll" and then I get a Free menu that allows me to adjust settings, go to the TV option, access the hard drive of the box, etc., etc... If you don’t have that, then there’s a real problem.
But did you manage to do the sort of update (firmware update) between the Freebox and the HD box?

At the moment, I can't provide you with any information because I have nothing in front of me. At worst, try what I advised you, contact Free's chat... (for my part, I initiated it over 30 minutes ago... still no technical assistant available... unacceptable lol).

What's good is that you've tested on several TVs, so that will help pinpoint the issue for the Free guy, because otherwise they always give you the same old talk, supposedly their equipment is reliable... (I have two Free connections, and the one I have that is not unbundled is... annoying!!!!) ...

Hi,

I have the impression that it's your cable that is poorly plugged in, either on your TV or the Freebox HD v5. The other thing to check is the black power supply block of the Freebox HD; it is known to cause strange failures on televisions when it is at the end of its life. For me, it made appear the menu not from the Freebox but from the TV and rendered the image in black and white. Ask someone close or a neighbor who has the same equipment as you to lend you their power supply block for a test.
