Animated GIF in PowerPoint

not so simple! (well, almost)
after a few setbacks, I want to point out for those who may have the same problem as me that PowerPoint only plays the animation of gifs if it is a gif with a looping animation. If the animation is set to play only once (image ready setting and any other gif editor), your animation will be stuck on image 1.

Hello, so I tried to insert a gif from the internet and when I copy the image and paste it, it doesn't work. However, by importing the page and selecting "insert" "film," any type of file imported as .gif plays when I view the slideshow... I'm not sure if this can help you...

An animated GIF runs in PowerPoint like any other format (bmp, jpg...)

Add a new slide that can contain an image.
Select the "Insert Picture" item
Insert your GIF.
Then it's done.

In fact, you can loop a GIF once in PowerPoint. The little trick to achieve this is to set the GIF to two loops during its creation (for example, using Image Ready).

At that point, PowerPoint will only play the loop once during playback.

However, I have other issues:

1 - PowerPoint does not play my GIFs well (in loop). It is choppy, and sometimes only certain sequences of the loop are played.
2 - On some of my GIFs, they freeze = they become JPG images (even though inserted through the normal path).
3 - I would like to set some of my GIFs (particularly those that only play once) so that they only appear after a particular action (upon clicking) but especially that the loop plays only after the GIF appears and not from the opening of the slide, as is the default.

There you go, some rather specific questions, but I hope to find someone who has one or more answers to my questions.

just open the gif with ie, copy it and paste it into your ppt. And that's it. Simple, isn't it!

You are copying and pasting from the site where you found it.
