CARTRIDGE ISSUE ON EPSON DX 8450

The problem with switching from Epson to HP is that with HP, the driver keeps uninstalling itself all the time. I was fed up with the driver reinstalling itself at least once a week, if not once a day. And tired of finding 7 or 8 HP fax printers (when I only had one multifunction printer installed) every time I wanted to send a fax, having to do it via printer and faxing by hand because none of the 8 worked. And tired of the scan only working over the network once every two times. So I switched back to an Epson. At least the driver works, the fax and the scan too, all over the network, without ever having reinstalled in 2 months.

You are absolutely right, I am going to change my printer and definitely won't advertise for Epson!

I tried your procedure but unfortunately I had to put in new cartridges. I advise all internet users not to buy EPSON printers, they may be cheap to purchase, but then you have to open your wallet wide (compatibility issues, impossible to refill the cartridges without the ink level regulator, which is currently unavailable for the 8450 and later)?
For the next printer, it's certain that it won't be EPSON. Let's get that straight!

This is my third Epson printer, so I'm satisfied, but yes, there is a but; it now costs a lot due to a programming that seems deliberate, which supports, excuse me, I forgot to note his name, who says (say) that not all the content is used. It remains to be seen if they are filled as expected. In any case, I've printed very very little, and I now have to accept that BLACK is made up of the use of colors. Quite ironic for a user who claims to be satisfied with Epson. But I never said I would buy another one given Epson's evolving policy.
