HDMI or YPBPR?

It might be the extension cables that I used to connect to my TV in YPBPR (old audio cables…). Tomorrow I'll go get an HDMI cable and I'll try again.

Ah, I didn't know that specific HD cables were needed. On my graphics card, I have for the YPBPR a 20 cm cable (on one side (PC) it looks like an S-Video connector but with more pins) and on the other side (TV) 3 female cables like audio cables (red, blue, and green).

To answer his question, the Pr, Pb, Y connector (red, blue, green), also called component or YUV, is an analog connector capable of displaying high definition. It carries only video signals and not audio. To get sound, you need to add an RCA audio cable or, preferably, digital (coaxial or optical) if the television is equipped with such an input. HDMI is a digital connector, so theoretically, it’s better than Pr, Pb, Y. Additionally, it carries both image and sound.
